Introduction: I have a wealth of classroom experience on the Elementary school level. I have worked with first and second graders for 18 years. I have provided tutoring services for 15 years. I have over 5 years of experience in working with students with autism and with IEPs.
9 Star Tutoring's philosophy is all students can learn. I offer reasonable rates. Sessions can occur in home or at the library. I provide homework support, reading comprehension, word work, phonemic awareness, creative writing, basic math skills and a study skills program for middle and high school students. I have a team of highly qualified professionals. I am eagerly waiting to hear from you. I am passionate and take pride in the services that I provide to my clients.

Ms. Sharyon, has been a blessing. She helped my PreK son get prepared for Kindergarten in less than 6 weeks over the summer! He was lacking confidence, not recognizing his alphabets and numbers; to being confident (maybe a little too confident), recognizing and blending words. I know if we had a few more weeks together he would be fully reading. His current teacher indicated he is above grade level and already exceeding the school year goals! My son now needs more challenging work. My son is a very active child, and Ms. Sharyn was able to handle to him and often times wheel him back in. No complaints, super thrilled!! You better hit the hire button, so you to could be super thrilled with a little achiever.

We are halfway through our sessions, and I must say that Ms. Sharyn is amazing! She is so kind, and so patient with my super energetic son. Since we've started working together, my son has taken an increased interest in reading and actually comprehending what he's reading! I look forward to seeing my son's growth, and would recommend Ms. Sharyn over and over again!

Provides tutoring assistance to two elementary grade students (2nd & 3rd grade). Assists with developing study strategies that fits the student's individual needs.
What went well - The tutor was very professional and knowledgeable about the issues my children were facing at school. She was able to provide immediate remedies to assist my kids in various subject areas. My kids truly enjoy their tutoring sessions and I'm very pleased with the results.

She has been tutoring our 4yrs old for 4 months now and our daughter has blossomed in school. She is patient with kids, ensure participation, welcomes ideas for improvements, provides tools to work with and discusses feedback on progress.
