Introduction: I am currently the owner of Fitness Methods Personal Training in Houston, Texas and a consultant for fitness centers throghout the Southern United States. I am committed to the success and well being of my clients and enjoy helping them attain their fitness goals. I hold ACE, ACE-CMES, ACSM, NASM and AFAA certifications which allow me to specialize in Sports Medicine. I train in my facility and I am available to travel to your home or office. I am poised to help you attain a level of fitness you may not have thought possible. Whether you desire a new method of attaining your fitness goals or are in need of physical rehabilitation, you are invited to experience my approach to fitness. The enjoyment and attention to detail of each work out will only be outmeasured by the results you are able to achieve. I work with clients of all fitness levels. From beginners to those training for fitness events; those in need of rehab to others who have overcome an injury and wish to stay injury free through my training techniques, my clientele is diverse. But, the one thing they all have in common is a goal/desire to improve their quality of life. I love being part of that journey and watching the evolution.

Shane is an outstanding trainer that works hard to individualize workouts and nutritional plans for his clients. He considers safety, ability, effectiveness, and time management when working with clients in order to maximize their results. I would highly recommend Shane as a personal trainer.

Shane is great. He tailors workouts to your personal needs, is flexible with scheduling, and uses humor to keep sessions from becoming boring. I have been working with him for almost three years and look forward to continuing to do so for a long time to come.

I have trained with Shane since 2012. He is by far the most experienced and caring trainer that I have ever had. With his vast knowledge, he tailors a program to your goals and fitness level. He actually listens to his clients which can be rare in that industry and I promise you he will get great results for you. I would highly recommend Shane. Training with him will change your life!

I am so glad that I met Shane!! I have worked out with a number of trainers at "big gyms" and his approach was much more personalized and caring. I could tell that he built workouts with my end goal in mind, and he has put in a tremendous amount of effort to keep the workouts interesting (and is always adding in new challenges). Shane is extremely reliable- never missing a workout, and he is never late. The hour always fly's by, and I really enjoy my time at the gym with him. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    Every client is different and the fitness programs I create for them are different based on their level of fitness. I train "from the inside out", meaning I bring the client into better alignment, working on form, technique and on the muscles which stabilize the core including hips and shoulders. I also train "from the bottom up", creating a stable base with good strength. Much like building a house, everything begins with a solid foundation. These methods help my clients achieve their personal fitness goals more quickly, efficiently, and most important...safely!

    I am ACE, ACE-CMES, ACSM, NASM and AFFA, Certified

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    I work with all levels of fitness and wellness. My specialties include: One on One individualized training, Doubles sessions (you and a friend), Weight Loss; Strength Building; TRX/Suspension Training; Core Training; Cardio Endurance; Outdoor Training; Pre/Post Natal; Chemo/Post Chemo patients; Shoulder issue's; Hip replacement; Knee replacement; Spinal issue's; Autoimmune illnesses; Post Rehab for increased range of motion; and Flexibility training for increased joint health and relief from aches and pains.
