FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each project is unique so my prices can vary but I'm currently working on a basic pricing structure. Generally the price is affect by: Distance I have to travel, the time it takes to film, and how much product you are needing (Flash Drives, Cases, etc...) my price can be anywhere from $300 and up depending on the job
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Generally after the first inquiry, I set up a meeting in person, if at all possible to go over all the details of what the client needs (details about what type of event, Location, Indoor/Outdoor, what is all needed to be filmed, length of event, What format needed of the finished video and how many copies needed, etc...) Next of course I film the event. Once I have all the footage that is needed I will inform the client that I will keep them up to date on the progress of the editing and give them a ETA on when I will have the first draft completed. Once I've shown the client the first draft, I ask if they want to add, subtract, or change anything, if so then I take notes of the changes and add them. Once the client is happy with the final product I will print the DVD cases and Disc labels and make the number of discs the client ordered unless they wanted the video in File form in that case I would just give them the video. Lastly I tell all my clients that PR Productions will keep their project on File for a max time of a Year, if they wanted more copies or replacements (sold for an additional price) just contact me and we will get it done.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I haven't really gone to school for videography but I have about 4 years worth of experience and I have a portfolio to prove that. I have taken and are currently taking free online courses to expand my knowledge.
