Introduction: At the age of 18, I already have extensive experience in classical solo singing and choral singing. I have been singing for 6 years and have been taking private lessons for three.
During my senior year, I served as the student director and president of the vocal music program at Murrieta Valley High School. I am currently in my first year at Riverside City College as a music major and was accepted to the Chapman University Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music as a vocal performance (opera) major in 2015.
I also sing as a second soprano in the internationally acclaimed RCC Chamber Singers. As a result of diligent vocal study over the years, I have won second place in the Temecula Rotary Music Competition and first place in the Riverside District Vocal Competition (both in 2015).
As an aspiring opera singer and teacher, I want to share my love of music and vocal arts with other young people in my hometown and aid them in a musically enriched lifestyle. I focus heavily on vocal technique as well as artistic imagery and connection to the words and emotions portrayed by the composer. I wish to closely work with students and focus on their individual needs while helping them to become a better vocalist, musician, and overall person.
What I enjoy the most about my work is that I have the ability to share the wonders of music with my peers and become a role model to other aspiring musicians. Truly loving what I do is my personal definition of success, and I want to help others to achieve the same thing. So whether you or your child is just interested in vocal development/improvement, being a better choral singer, or dream of being on an opera stage, I would love to help!
