Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have been practicing Yoga for over 10 years and teaching for over 6 years. The roots of my practice and teaching are in Vinyasa Yoga, a strong and integrative flow, and a practice I will always adore. My practice and trainings have evolved into Yoga Therapy; a therapeutic, individualized variation to the practice. This approach to Yoga takes into account our unique situations and invites the practice to be molded to suit us, rather than us to suit the practice. It is my passion and privilege to have worked with many individuals over the past 5 years and to watch the impact Yoga has on their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. With great respect and honor, I hold space for the person in front of me with an approach based in: intuition, empathy, and research and information gathering in order to better understand their limitations and needs. I am truthful in what I know and do not know so that I can design a practice that meets them where they are at and helps bring them to where they want to go, including meditation, mindfulness, relaxation, mudras, breath work, and asana (Yoga postures). Yoga has helped me soothe and heal my personal anxiety and physical discomfort. Being a Yoga Therapist has bridged my passion for Yoga and purposeful desire to help others. It is my dharma (purpose) in this life. - Amy C-IAYT Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500 hour Yoga Teacher

Amy has helped me many times and has given great modifications for some more challenging positions. She has helped me heal various strained muscles and had some wonderful exercises to help heal my planter fasciitis. She truely listens and puts a great deal of time and effort into her sessions.

She is my favorite yoga instructor I have ever practiced with in my life! She is calm, kind, gentle, knowledgeable, patient and generous. She has a unique way of scaffolding difficulty and offering options for all levels as you personally progress. I look forward to every class with her, and just hope to be able to find space in the room for my mat!

I have been so excited to be working with Amy. I was not a big fan of yoga but knew that it would be good for me. She is wonderful about listening to what I need and gears my practice with that in mind. I would recommend her without hesitation.

Amy is wonderful, the sessions are made to measure. I wanted a more challenging practice, and the classes were just the best I have ever done at any yoga studio . She also gave lessons to my 2 toddlers, they love it and good forward to the next class , it's a real treat for the kids too! She has such a wonderful personality, kind, smiling and makes everyone feel comfortable.

Amy is excellent! I've been taking private classes with her for a short while and I would recommend her to anyone looking to benefit from a private yoga class. I always look forward to our next session and she leaves me feeling relaxed and refreshed. She effortlessly adapts the class and poses to fit your needs and your individual body. It's clear that her knowledge extends beyond the traditional poses and into other aspects of yoga.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I typically conduct a pre-meeting phone interview. This would help me to learn about your expectations and goals for us working together. If it is well suited for you, I would send a brief intake form. This would allow me to create a program that fits you and your uniqueness!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Registered Vinyasa Yoga Teacher 200 hr (RYT) 150 Hours of Yoga Therapy training Currently enrolled in an 800 hour Certified Yoga Therapist training

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started practicing Yoga in 2010. It changed my life. I was not even aware of my lack of self-awareness and self-care. I had anxiety and occasional panic attacks. It took some time, but Yoga resolved them both. My quality of life has just increased since I stepped on my mat. The people I surround myself with, and the activities I now pursue are all reflections of the self-love I obtained through my Yoga practice. It just became my purpose to watch this change in others!
