Eric Quinn :Trombonist - Composer - Teacher
Introduction: Interested in learning how to improvise, play the trombone or compose? I'm your guy! I just graduated from NYU Steinhardt with a masters degree in Jazz Performance where I studied with the likes of Stefon Harris, Alan Ferber, Elliot Mason, Tony Moreno and Lenny Pickett (Saturday Night Live) to name a few. While I was at NYU I co-wrote a fantasy novel, painted all of the artwork for it and wrote a 12 track album which lines up with each chapter of the book. The book and album will be released on November 18th. I have so much to teach you! Let's get started.
I love to see my students succeed. We will discuss what sorts of things you'd like to get out of our time together on our first lesson and I'll develop a personalized curriculum which will fit your interests best by our second lesson. If you set goals for yourself, it is my job to make sure that you complete them. Watching you complete your own goals is what I enjoy most about teaching.

Eric is by far the most educated and clear spoken teacher around. He knows his stuff but more importantly, he is able to articulate concepts and ideas verys clearly to his students. His high, yet focus energy makes ever lesson and interaction a positive one. When you have a lesson with Eric, it becomes clear that he is not there just to be there. But instead is there to help you grow and become a better performer. I have taken many lessons with Eric. I have also taken a lot of lessons with different instructors. Eric is by far the best teacher/instruct I have had in my life. I have obtained the most amount of information with him in the shortest amount of time. If you need a trombonist, composer or teach, Eric Quinn is your man!

Eric was a great private teacher for jazz trombone. He offered me great material to work on and helpful advice for improving my jazz improvisation. He's a great musician as well as kind teacher.
