Introduction: (Piano) I create lesson plans customized to your goals, whether it's to become a professional classical pianist, or to learn your favorite songs of any genre. I have a variety of techniques to help you with difficult passages/challenges. I create an encouraging environment to help you grow and become a better musician. (Musicianship/Sight-singing) I have the tools, tips, and tricks to help you become the best musician you can be! I've gained the experience and knowledge from training under Robert Shaw's pupil and participating in top level audition choirs. I know what it takes to be a working musician and the level you need to be at to succeed. Getting to watch my students gain the necessary technique needed to become the musician they've wanted to be (most of the time even better) brings me absolute joy!

I hired Kaya to teach my 10 Yr old daughter piano. She had tried a year before but didn't have much success. I was in awe with the results after working with Kaya. She improved immensely , and she had a great time. Kaya is such a nurturing teacher that meets her students where they're at. Some days Abigail would have a hard time paying attention, but Kaya had all these great exercises to help her channel her energy. I would definitely recommend Kaya! We are so blessed to have you! Kaya is an amazing teacher, her professionalism could not be surpassed. She is the complete package: talented pianist, singer, patient, funny, kind, and undersranding of unique family dynamics. My 6 year old is incredibly timid and does not warm up to people easily. Kaya was understanding of that and even when I was about to give up, she persisted, becoming friends with my Olivia which resulted not only in Olivia warming up to her, but in Olivia already being able to play several songs on the piano after less than 2 months. My little girl looks forward to her class and playing games with Kaya (games through which she has learned proper breathing and posture). This has already begun to pay off in more ways than one, Olivia can already play the piano and feels more confident. I highly recommend Kaya, particularly if you have somewhat of a difficult child, she seems to be able to connect in a way that has astonished me. If you have an easy child, than all the more reason to use Kaya because it will be that much easier for her to teach your child. This is by far the best investment I have made. We figure out what your goals are and I create a lesson plan to help you achieve them. Through my many years of teaching and extensive training I have gained a diverse repertoire of teaching methods to meet your needs.

Cabrillo College: Classical Voice and piano Major. Theory Minor. Teachers: I have trained under two Metropolitan Opera singers, and a New York City Opera star, among many conservatoire faculty. Certificates: (Cabrillo College) -2013 Music Technology (EDX Julliard) -Current Piano Artistry
