Introduction: Please call for available lesson times...we can schedule a meeting before you enroll...I look forward to meeting you and your child. I have been teaching piano for over 25 years to students of all ages, Classical, Pop, Jazz and Traditional Study. I hold a BA Degree in Piano Pedagogy from Northeastern Illinois University and my studies include Classical training at Meredith College in North Carolina (and Northeastern Illinois University), jazz studies at DePaul University of Illinois and private study with Alan Swain. Have served as an adjudicator for local and national competitions. I have performed professionally for over 20 years in the Chicago and North Carolina areas. I offer many performance opportunities to students. I take great pride in teaching students how to understand music as well as appreciate, enjoy and perform music.

Ms. Kathy Buehler is the best piano teacher. My son who has autism started receiving piano lessons from her at a very young age. When he started, we were not sure if he will ever learn to read notes , knowing his disability. But Ms. Kathy's patience, perseverance and experience has gone a long way. Today, he can play the piano well and is comfortable reading notes and playing music. My son is so comfortable learning with her than with anyone else that we have to asked her to teach him basic flute lessons as well, for his schoolband.He started with her not able to produce a sound on his flute , and today, he is playing his flute well in the school band performance. My daughter is also receiving piano lessons from her. It is so fulfilling to hear my kids play a duet in the piano, perform in a small gathering, parties and family get together. This has all been possible because of Ms. Kathy's dedication, professionalism, love of music and care for his students! We can't thank her enough!
