Introduction: Lindsay's Violin House provides the option of bilingual (English or Spanish) lessons to students with a welcoming environment to build knowledge, confidence, and a vision in their violin skills. Whether the student has taken lessons before or is a beginner, students will have the ability to progress through a curriculum patterned after their needs, wants, and abilities. A priority in the Violin House is to cultivate and foster each student's potential. Students' potential is predicated on the amount of practice given to their instruments; excellence is achievable here. Violin has taught me how to be my own artist. It has given me confidence, passion, discipline, and it changed my perception toward challenges in a positive way. And I make an effort to weave these qualities through the academic curriculum.

Lindsay played Paganini, Cantabile and her sound is excellent. What I enjoy about Lindsay is that she does not rush through the pieces she plays and she does not perform with arrogance but rather to convey a message through her music; moreover, she speaks through her violin. Equally as satisfying, she takes her time pedagogically when educating. In other words, like her playing of the violin, she took time to explain to me how she was doing what she was doing and made me feel positively different about a difficult instrument elaborating about it and its use in a simple way. I can say that she does not dominate in conversation and is willing to help develop what it is the individual wants to know and learn and she does so with caring confidence.

When she was playing I felt a lot of peace and the room was silent and also it felt very calm. There was a lot of people wanting to clap before she was done but then she kept on going and that was a good thing because you can't tell when it was over unless you really listen to the music. The music that she chose to play was very good because the different tones that it had made every part almost like a story and you could then tell what was happening in the meaning of the music. And if you payed attention to her movements and they way her body was moving and what her facial expression was, it all pulled together and made it really good. The overall experience was very good and I could definelty want to hear it again and to hear different peices that she would play for us.

The performance was very nice. It was a little weird because it was just in my teachers classroom, but that is okay. In a musical sense it was very good. I have been playing violin for a long time and so I know how it is in a musical sense. The intonation and timing was nice but near the end, the was a note or so that was a little out of tune, but that is to be expected because it is very difficult to play on the D and G string in that high of a position. And on some songs you have to play that note on a different string it could change the "color." of the tune and it would not sound quite right. Overall this was a very good performance and I would like to hear her play more in the future.

Lindsay was very well prepared and very well carried throughout her performance. She is obviously very experienced and I think she would make a great teacher, she seemed very genuine in her passion for the music and shared her different methods of approaching teaching and answered any questions we had. She gave an amazing performance.
