It was an absolute pleasure to have Patricia be the officiant at our wedding. Whatever we wanted, and whatever we needed, she was there and provided us with a quality ceremony. At first, we were a little hesitant to hire Patricia. At the time, she had little experience officiating weddings and ours would be one of her first experiences. However, Patricia's pleasant attitude, warm and charismatic tone, and positive demeanor won us over during the interview. Our wedding ceremony was complicated. The ceremony was long and parts of it were to be synced with specific songs and actions. We were nervous that Patricia would not be able to adjust her speech to be perfectly in sync with the music like we had imagined. Patricia reached out to our DJ and ensured that they practiced timing and performance. She was reassuring, calm, and collected. Because she took the initiative to practice several times with the DJ before the wedding, she did a fantastic job incorporating our music into the ceremony. Long story short, everything went smoothly and we were thrilled! Patricia sent us a text the next day of her dropping off our marriage license at the post office. She was quick and efficient in the process, and this was greatly appreciated. Overall, we highly recommend Patricia as a wedding officiant. Despite having limited experience, Patricia's performance was phenomenal, well-rehearsed, and professional. Our guests commented about how clearly she spoke, how she spoke with emotion rather than just reading from the page, and how she was sensitive and warm to the guests and the needs of the bride and groom. We are endlessly grateful to have met Patricia and to have had the opportunity to snag her before she becomes a huge officiant with a busy schedule! She made my wedding so perfect. Took the time to build something unique for me and my husband, gave suggestions where need it. Pat was our officiant this past Autumn for our wedding and she was more than accommodating, she was fantastic! I first reached out to Pat only a few months before the wedding date, but she made me feel comfortable that we had plenty of time to work out what we’d like for our wedding ceremony. Pat responded to my first email within a timely manner and she set up a phone call to get to know us better as a couple within a week. She is so easy to talk to, I still remember that phone conversation and her excellent questions that she asked us as a couple. We talk, meet if we can, so that everyone makes sure it’s a good fit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Master's Degree in Applied Positive Psychology, a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a concentration in Theology and World Religions. My academic and life experiences enable me to create a very spiritual ceremony or a non-spiritual ceremony (or somewhere in between) filled with the same joy and commitment! I’ve officiated 25 weddings now, in people homes, parks and indoor venues. Every wedding is different because every couple is unique.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve worked couples that have had very simple weddings with a few guests, many guests inside and out and even worked with a couple that requested my closing words be timed with the lyrics of the closing music.
