Introduction: I have 18 years' experience teaching guitar and bass in all styles, theory, and songs. I provide fun lessons -- not straight from a boring book.
Lessons are at comfortable music store with waiting area on 35th Ave and Cactus.
Every student is an individual, and no one learns the same way. Through years of teaching all ages, I've learned how to adapt to better teaching each individual and making sure they get to play as fast as possible.

My son has studied guitar with Mike for over 4 years now. He tailors my son's lessons to the music he is interested in.Mike also takes an interest in my son's life outside of guitar.

I took lessons with Mike from age 11 through my senior year of high school. Mike provided me with a strong musical foundation so that I could continue to play guitar after my lessons were over. Some days we would just learn to play my favorite songs by ear. Other days we would spend time devoted to musical theory; building solos, running through scales, and general songwriting techniques.
Any time that he was running late or had to cancel, he always gave myself or my parents plenty of notice. He always offered to make up missed lessons and was more than willing to reschedule if something came up.
Even though I stopped taking lessons, I still use a lot of the material that Mike taught me for general reference. Mike helped take a growing love for music and turn it into a passion and talent, and I will always be thankful I took lessons with him!

Mike is an amazing guitar instructor. He has a vast knowledge in all aspects of guitar and bass. His teaching methods are amazing and he inspires his students to challenge themselves. Mike, believes in his students and wants to see each one of them succeed.

Love his lessons. He teaches what you want to learn and doesn't try to bore you with theory. He pushes to get better, try new things, and makes sure we have fun doing it.

I have been going to Mike for guitar lessons since I was a little girl. He has tought me so much. He is sweet and patient. He really knows what he is doing and is a awesome guitar player. I don't have anything to complain about.
