Eric is a wonderful drum teacher. He is very patient with our shy 5 year old! Our son is very excited to go to lessons each week and is eager to practice. We look forward to many more lessons to come.Dec 17, 2018Verified
Eric is great! My 13 year old son is a total beginner, and Eric had him launched in drumming very quickly! It's clear that Eric has loads of experience as a musician and a teacher, and his enthusiasm is contagious. Highly recommend!Oct 9, 2018Verified

Eric helped with a surprise for my girlfriend who hadn't played drums in 15 years. It ended up being one of the best things she has done and it was all because Eric was so patient and positive. I would highly recommend him as an instructor.Jun 20, 2018Verified
Erik is a one-of-a-kind instructor. I've only had one lesson with him so far, but I can't wait to continue with him at his home studio!Jun 18, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Lesson are $30 for a half hour, and $50 for a full hour. I teach one-on-one lessons, not group "camp-style" lessons. You get my complete and undivided attention during our lesson time. :-)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I typically start with a short meeting at my humble home studio to discover what the student is interested in learning, what type of music they like, whether they have any musical experience (none required, of course), and to basically get to know them a little. I'll answer any questions they or their parent(s) have. We'll hit the drum pads and maybe hop on the drum sets for a few minutes. It's a no-pressure thing. If we're simpatico, we'll create a lesson schedule together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I graduated from the Grove School of Music in Studio City, CA, where I studied drums and percussion with with well-known greats Peter Donald, David Garibaldi, Luis Conte, Chuck Silverman and many first-call L.A. session players. Before that, however, I got my humble start playing percussion in middle school. I continued in high school, playing percussion in concert band and marching band. I was an all-state percussionist, and played the drum set in jazz band, and in musical theatre productions, and like most teens, in garage bands. I've performed for crowds of 20 to 20,000.
