Introduction: Kickboxing-Do is a a style created by coach Eddie Monger which means "Way of the Kickboxer" from his 54 years of study in the martial arts. Coach Monger has used his fighting with great success for himself and fighters he has trained. Coach Monger Kickboxing-Do system can be used for fighting , fitness and self-defense. We teach American Kickboxing, but we also teach how to use foot sweeps, knees, leg kicks and elbows for self-defense, fitness, and fighting. WE teach American Karate under the Karate-Do system. American Karate take what it perceives as the best of the art from traditional East Asian martial arts. American Karate by its own nature focuses primarily on the "sporting aspects" relying on and obtained through sparring. In practical terms, sparring is offered to assist the student by demonstrating the physical and mental relationship of their action to their opponent's response and again, back to their counter strike, or evasive maneuver. American Karate generally tends to employ a less formal, or traditional approach to the self-defense regimen. Forms, or Katas are usually also taught in most American Karate schools and Kata themselves are often used as a means of sports competition. We teach self-defense against knife attacks, take downs and sweeps, how to fight with sticks and hand-to-hand defense. We also work with kids on bullying.

As a physician I have a pretty good understanding of diet and fitness. Thunder Kickboxing has a program second to NONE! I've been with Coach Eddie and Coach Brenda for about four years and I can say there are few teachers with their expertise. I recommend this dojo without hesitation!

I have worked with Coach Eddie and Coach Brenda on and off for 15 years, and they have always gone above and beyond the call of duty to be both outstanding martial arts coaches and invaluable mentors. M&H Thunder Kickboxing is not just a school; it's a family, and anyone would be lucky to be a member.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started off as a person that loves martial movies, went to being a person that trains in kickboxing to get in shape, then I decided I wanted to see if I could use what I have learned against someone with experience, had decided to have a fight career in which I received a few titles, and last part continue my martial art workouts for health and self-defense. Teaching the martial arts has been a very rewarding experience for me over the last 20 plus years and I hope this journey is a good one for you. Should you choose to be a professional martial arts educator, then I encourage you to become the best you can be, financially, personally and spiritually. Coach Brenda Harrison

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked with an array of students from wanting to do martial arts as a fad, for health (In shape, out of shape, and injured), self-defense, discipline, have disabilities and they need to know there strength.
