I worked with Dane for over a year. He is amazing!! I was looking for help increasing my stamina prior to my wedding and then keeping me fit during my pregnancy. We were partners the whole time! He pushed me when I needed to be pushed, he listened to me and modified when I needed to and was ALWAYS supportive. Dane push me to do things I'd never done before (heavy lifting) which I found I really enjoyed. Another thing I liked, was that my session was all about me. I've worked with trainers before that greet you then throw you on the treadmill to warm up or cool down. Not Dane - when it was my time, he expected me to work, which I appreciated. Great trainer to work with, bonus that he was also personable, fun and easy to work with.

I have been training with Dane for 8 months now. I can say, he is the most committed and experienced trainers around. I train with him 3x a week. He makes every session challenging, upbeat , and filled with new exercises. Through his amazing approach he focuses on helping me achieve my goals. I have noticed my fitness level and strength has increased and have seen many improvements both mentally and physically. He teaches technique before each exercise is introduced, helping my form along the way, and cheers you on as I go through my routine. He is reliable, punctual, and has a prepared plan prior to every time we meet. I look forward to our sessions, and even have Dane train our teenage son 2x a week for strength training. He is a wealth of information, stellar motivator, and a blast to train with at any age. With Dane you see results, receive encouragement, and stay focused to reach your goals.

Dane trained me 18 months 2x weekly until the gym went out of business. Now am lifting on my own at another gym, not getting gains with the speed which I had been but still learning to work out on my own. The muscular base I build with Dane makes that possible and fun. The GOOD: -knows how to push but not injure a 50 year old client -expert at getting the most results for the time you put in and making it interesting by mixing things up -extraordinarily calculating and strategic: Let Dane know your goals and constraints (e.g. gain muscle but have a sore shoulder) and he will react with speed and skill to get you there -great physiological understand (gave me an expert eval on my shoulder soreness confirming no tear and proscribed exercises to strengthen lower traps and re-balance the muscles with good success) The BAD: -knows how to push you without injury, but still one time I had to take advil within 2 hours of blasting my legs with high volume squats. Once he builds you up to safely push you, you will discover what SORE feels like (even that is addicting) -you have to find supplementary instructional videos on your own as the focus is on maximizing the training session for results now (not focusing on how you will branch out later on your own). I have discovered insightful youtube weightlifting videos on how to bench press by Art of Manliness (Rippetoe) and Alan Thrall that I think are helpful additions to the Dane's coaching. SUMMARY: Encouraging, challenging, keeps you from hurting yourself while still getting you addicting to moving heavy weights and the exercise "high" you get by moving out of your comfort zone. Results, professionalism, and a little fear (that your heart will explode). I did things I thought I was way to old too do, and am still benefiting from it. I couldn't recommend Dane more highly.

I worked out with Dane for the better part of a year. When I started I had never lifted weights, and in no time Dane had me lifting more than I thought possible and setting PR's on almost a weekly basis. He kept the workouts fun and challenging using with everything from kettlebells, box jumps, medicine balls, bench presses and squats to old fashioned pushups and pull ups and overall was great to work with!

Dane helped me improve my ability from barely running a 5K into completing my first Marathon! He gave me the right workouts and the running schedule as well as marathon day preparation and nutrition tips for success. I've also worked with him in group training sessions and he has always given workout regression or progressions depending on mine and others abilities. Very knowledgeable on the right way to do any workout. A great motivator as well!
