FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Ithaca College -Applied Performance Guitar major and attended master classes with guitar virtuosos. After college I was a road musician, booked by east coast talent agencies as both a member of various groups and as a solo act. I play all styles of guitar including rock, country, jazz, acoustic, classical, and electric bass.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've taught students of all ages, backgrounds and interest levels. My students include beginners who have little or no music experience to those who are pursuing a professional music career. I have several students who look to their lessons as a way to relax, and those who use their guitar lessons to enrich their general education.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
A good guitar teacher takes the time to provide the student with a solid foundation of music theory, performing techniques and how to read music. They teach at a comfortable pace, keeping the student's unique interest and ability in mind when planning lessons. And each lesson builds on the foundation until the student is able to pick up any music they choose and build a personal repertoire.
