Jessica Recinos Dance Experience
About this pro
Jessica Recinos is a San Francisco native choreographer and artivist who is active in bringing change to her community through movement. She is the founder of Rising Rhythm, a Bay Area dance collective connecting a diverse group of creators to resist and express through storytelling and performance using dance, music, and visual art. She has trained with some of the Bay' s most respected street dancers such as Allan Frias of Mind Over Matter, Rashad "Soul Nubian" Pridgen and Jocquese Whitfield who have guided her to become the confident, fearless woman she is today. My mission as a dance mentor and movement coach is to connect people to their natural rhythm and build confidence with any dance style they choose to learn. She is also a member of the vogue house, House of Prolific West Coast Chapter. Jessica uses art as a way to bring change to her community through drumming for protests and her involvement with various non profit organizations such as Dance Mission Theater Youth Program,Loco Bloco and Handful Players that support the youth's healthy transition into adulthood. I love seeing my students progress overtime and enjoy their transformation into confident dancing machines! I really love to break movements down and practice isolation to get my students more familiar with their natural rhythm!
