Eliott is knowledgeable, organized, enthusiastic and a very good communicator. He Is adept at Lindy, Charleston and popular / classic solo jazz moves, and he can lead as well as follow (I am a leader). He is able to quickly dissect things I am doing wrong and offer specific, actionable advice that enables me to identify and correct bad habits before they become permanent flaws. He is also flexible, I.e., he works on steps I want to work on when I have specific things I want to achieve and he always has useful content suggestions when the decision-making is turned over to him.
I find Eliott's feedback to be frank & useful; a perfect mix of encouragement and constructive criticism. Finally, he is efficient and I feel he makes good use of my time (and money). I have taken lessons from Eliott for over two years and I would rate him among the very best instructors in the local area.

Eliott is a first rate instructor. He is one of a small breed of swing teachers who has an excellent understanding of body mechanics and technique; he's not just a pattern guy. Eliott presents material clearly and at a pace so that students really get the material. He takes a keen interest in his students understanding and progression and usually provides summery notes after each lesson. Lessons with Eliott are always fun.

Eliott is a great social swing instructor. My partner and I are intermediate dancers, and we learned lindy hop and charleston. We had a ton of fun dancing with Eliott, and I always looked forward to the lessons. He's all about having a good time and learning to dance in social environments - not too formal, but definitely knows his stuff! The instruction was really high quality, and I was impressed by how well he could suggest improvements by only watching us dance for a couple minutes. I really trusted his advice, and learned things way more quickly than I ever could have in a group environment.

My [then] fiancée and I took lessons from Eliott for our first dance. Eliott was patient, fun, and an excellent teacher. We recommended him to our friends who also took lessons for their first dance!

Eliott taught me Lindy Hop and Charleston lessons. He's got a great understanding of the mechanics and able to break down a move to better understand it. He's also easy going and with his sense of humor, makes learning enjoyable. I've recommended him to several others for lessons.
