Introduction: I am a professional violinst and violist with a passion for musical theatre and chamber music! Originally from the Seattle area, my love of music has taken me all over the world. I received my BMus and LRAM from the Royal Academy of Music in the UK, where I studied, lived, and worked for 7 years. I was a member of London Sinfonietta Academy's inaugural year as the sole violist, as well as a rotating principal of Southbank Sinfonia in 2012. Additionally in 2012, I was part of the on-stage string quartet for the West End's production of Hymn by Alan Bennett. Other groups I performed with are the BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. Since returning to Seattle, I have continued to harnass my love for musical theatre as a violinist/violist at the 5th Avenue Theatre and Village Theatre. I enjoy a diverse music career and am always eager to accept opportunities that inspire and develop my skill sets. When I'm not playing music, I am persuing a professional diploma in UX design, showing Glen of Imaal Terriers at dog shows, and exploring the art and wonder my city has to offer. I would love to meet you! I am a teacher who believes one singular methodology or curriculum can't, and shouldn't, be applied to all students. Everyone thinks, feels, and learns differently and it's really important to me to find what works for each of my students! During our initial lesson, we will start off by chatting about what drew you to this instrument, what goals you are wanting to achieve, and what kind of time committment you can devote to weekly practice. I will use all of these elements, as well as what I learn from getting to know you, to tailor a curriculum that I believe will help you achieve your goals in a way that works for you and your busy life! I'm a neurodivergent individual with a lot of empathy and compassion for diverse thinking and processing styles. I'm passionate about fostering your love for music and its abilitity to be a voice of expression for you. As such, I will constantly change and adapt my teaching style and curriculum to match your ever-changing needs! I am excited to work with students of all ages and skill levels!

Natalie is an energetic, fun, seasoned musician that has already clearly demonstrated a passion for teaching with me in the first few lessons. Excited to be learning with her!

Im provided with private violin lessons and I feel really grateful to have Kimmy as a teacher. She really relates to you on a level seldom teachers do. She's very supportive and laid back yet pushes you to improve too. No complaints! :)

I am an adult cello "learner". I've wanted to begin lessons and decide to take the plunge. Nathan was able to introduce the instrument and basics during our initial lesson. He also was able to help find a rental; seems there was a run on them in Seattle! Personable and knowledgeable, and affordable, I'm very excited to begin my musical journey.

I decided to pick up my violin again this summer after a break from it for many years. I was referred to Kimmy by a coworker of mine who is also an excellent violinist. I had about five weekly lessons with Kimmy so far, and I have been loving our time together. Kimmy is really enthusiastic and easy to get along with. She always tries to make the learning experience fun and entertaining for me, which is what I appreciate the most and keeps me motivated to cope through the uncomfortable stage after no playing violin for so long. She is also very active in the music community, and always refer me to different resources for more practice and fun outside the lessons. She is very accommodating and her studio has really nice view and setting :)

Kimmy is an excellent teacher. My daughter, Emma, really enjoys her lessons. Kimmy is energetic, professional and collaborative. She listens to Emma, challenges her and makes it fun. Great energy, too!
