Showed up with one truck, two men when there was supposed to be two trucks, five men. Took three days to complete and have not heard anything about when they are going to come repair the damages to our wall and stairs.Apr 7, 2017Verified
Please if you are reading this do not hire Sugar Land Moving & Storage for your move. This review of our moving experience which will save you time money stress and energy. Moving is already a stressful situation by itself therefore do yourself a favor and look for more professional competent companies. First of all they got there truck's lift-gate stuck on my driveway due to poor communication from there staff and proceeded to gouge the driveway with several 6 foot long scratches(See attached). They also did not wrap any of our items and damaged our refrigerator(See attached). We instructed them to not take it thru the front door and proceeded instead which caused scratches & dents to the stainless steel doors. The owner personally just hung up on me and denied our claim. I will be filing complaints with the BBB, Thumbtack, Dept of Transportation and if necessary take them to small claims court to recover the damages owed. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED THIS COMPANY IS COMPLETELY INCOMPETENTNov 9, 2016VerifiedReynaldo S.'s reply
We have been trying to work with this customer. Our Bill of Lading offers an amount to pay for damages, we offered this amount and he wants more. He threatens bad reviews because he is aware that could only be his way of getting more money but that is a bad method of doing business. Sugar Land Moving & Storage has one of the lowest claims percentages in the industry. We have great clients but some you can just never make happy. I have personally spent an extraordinary amount of time with this client but I am just hitting a brick wall. Essentially he wants to have his move for free plus then some. He signed a statement that the only damage was the scratches in his driveway which were something that we could easily remedy but now he has come back with a list. We made sure that we walked through the job site after the move was completed and noted no damage and he signed the bill of lading stating this. Personally I feel threatening to leave bad reviews is poor form. The Department of Transportation, BBB and others including small claims court would only refer to the agreement he signed and would agree we have been more than fair with him. Even still, I offered him above and beyond what his agreement called for and he still was not satisfied, I do not kow what I can do more for him.
