FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, if paid in advance $165 for 8 full hours. I take a two -hour unit per visit. If students prefer to pay per two-hour unit they will pay $44 per unit as they come. Thus, there is a discount for paying in advance, and also a confirmation of the time kept for said student. Changes of schedule can occur, but if student let's me know 24 hours, in advance we can reschedule at HIS/HER convenience.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Find out their level, and their reason to study French. Quote my price. Then talk to them on the telephone briefly. Recommend a book to buy if necessary. One hour teaching followed by one hour practise. Repetition!! Also during the lessons making students aware of cultural differences.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was born, bred, and educated abroad entirely in French. Have taught for 7 years in The Princeton Institute of Foreign Languages, mostly as a corporate teacher for International Companies based in NY or CT. Twelve years at The Bernard School for Languages in Tucson, AZ. Also, and presently teaching from my home in Tucson for the past seven years since the Bernard School moved to Japan. I have references from both schools. Also, many contacts from former and present students upon request.
