- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Music from Arizona State University where I studied both classical violin and jazz. Have studied at Berklee College of Music and attended, taught, or been featured as a guest artist at workshops such as the Mark O’Connor String Camp, Christian Howes’ Creative String Workshop, Mike Block’s String Camp, and StringPlay. I’ve had the opportunity to study with and be mentored by creative string players such as Christian Howes, Randy Sabien, Hanneke Cassel, and Mike Block. Outside of academia, I have experience performing in many different styles of ensembles such as Country, Rock, Pop, Classical, and Latin, to name a few.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Started teaching while I was in high school. I was concertmaster in my high school orchestra and I used to be in charge of leading sectional rehearsals. I also got my first few private students while I was in high school.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I’ve taught students ranging from 4-64 years old
