FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do, yes. I charge $55/session for 1:1 sessions and $35/session for group sessions starting at 2 people. All sessions are one hour long, unless you have a special request which we can talk about. If you purchase 8 or more sessions, session price drops to $50; 16 or more sessions drops the price to $45/session. In group training, 3 people drops the price to $30/person, 4 people to $25/person, and so on.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always sit down with a new client for a consultation where we chat about history, goals, diet, current exercise, lifestyle, etc. We may also do a few physical assessments to see where he/she is athletically at the time of our first session, as well as to determine if there are any gaping muscle imbalances/weaknesses.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in psychology, which I believe really plays into and benefits personal training. Through my education in psychology and my own experience, I've learned that improving your mental health will in turn improve your physical health, and vice versa. I take my clients' lifestyles and life events into consideration when creating training plans and I understand that sometimes it may be more beneficial to simply go for a walk and talk than to force a tough workout. At the same time, I truly believe in the power of exercise to turn one's mood around. I also hold a personal training certification from American Council on Exercise, as well as a fitness nutrition specialty certification, also through ACE. I've also been trained in fitness instruction for classes like bootcamps, TRX, lower body conditioning, HIIT, Power Abs, etc. I also hold a running coach certification through Run Right:Freedom in the Form.
