- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science, Food and Nutrition degree for California State University, Sacramento. Owned a catering business for six years, La Cucina Italiana Catering. Regular on KCRA for four and half years with monthly cooking segments and now currently on Good Day Sacramento. I have been teaching cooking classes at the Sacramento Natural Food Coop. I do a lot of community outreach program on nutrition as well as consult with clients on health issues, weight concerns, learning how to cook healthier and so on. Perform corporate motivational speaking on health as well in offer corporate team building cooking events.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved to cook and wanted to study the foundation of food and its molecular makeup and how it interacts with our body. I feel that you can heal through most ailments when you have the knowledge and power of food can do for your body. As someone who has had Multiple Sclerosis for 30 years, I am not on medication, I have been able to continue leading a normal life with just few adjustments,
