Introduction: An innovative and reliable expert in the field of network and computer technology might be a short 5-second blurb that you would see on a cover letter to describe me, but that's really only about 1 percent of what makes me great at what I do. I have always been the person who not only solves the puzzle, but has a good time figuring it out. I have always gotten a kick out of trying to learn the ins and outs of what makes the various clocks tick around me. Well, clocks are digital now, things change. What originally intrigued me about the IT world years ago and what continues to do so today is the constant change. In this field, the idea that there is only one way to get something done almost never applies like it might in other industries. Exploring the field of technology means that each day can truly be a new dimension of interests and an opportunity for growth even within the same four walls.
Not the least of my skills is the ability to support and convey those same complex ideas to users and customers who might not be interested in what makes the hands move, but simply what time it is. In this realm, my many years of sales and customer service take a front seat. Most of the complaints that I hear from customers have nothing to do with a previous IT persons skill sets anyhow. Their primary concern is just how difficult they can be to truly communicate with, and not get the feeling like the old ID10T joke is running through the back of the tech's mind the whole time they are being asked a technical support question. Having been on both sides of this equation has given me a keen perspective in this area that only time and patience can instill.
