FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not offer set fees due to the custom nature of my work. I also feel the people should not have to pay for things they do not need or desire, so I only charge what is necessary for the amount of time I will spend on each individual ceremony. All services are included in one contract fee based upon the details and type of ceremony you desire and the amount of required travel. The fee will be quoted and contract presented for your review during our in-person consultation. A signed contract and 50% deposit reserves your date and time and initiates the planning process. The 50% fee balance is due 30 days before your ceremony. Due to the expedient nature of most end-of-life ceremonies, the fee is due in full at time of contracting.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After having spent over 30 years in various aspects of the wedding industry and receiving my certification as a Death Midwife and continuing and study, advocacy, and community education outreach in green burial, home funerals, natural burial cemeteries, and end-of-life choices, Celebrancy was a natural fit for me. Being able to help mark milestones and occasions from cradle to grave is an honor.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I can write ceremonies and rituals for an unlimited amount of occasions or reasons, but my most-requested include: *weddings for same-sex and heterosexual couples *pregnant mother blessings *baby welcomings/adoption ceremonies for pets and humans *new business ribbon-cuttings *house clearings/warmings/blessings *divorce ceremonies to assist with release and healing *women's rites (first moon/women's circles/croning) *end-of-life ceremonies for pets and humans (funerals/cremations/interments/burials/memorials/living funerals)
