Did a good job as far as reading the paper. Sounds like she didnt read it outloud and forgot rings forgot to tell ppl to sit. Still new needs more practice. Didnt give notice she had shown up. I had to call and text several times before getting a call at time wedding started she was there. I was kinda freaking out she wasnt gonna show. I couldnt just walk out there to see if she has shown up. Its been 2wk no marriage license yet.i cant say im upset or mad i got what i paid for but i expected more professionalism.Jul 30, 2016VerifiedLynsey Thomas, Wedding Officiant's reply
Christine, Thank you for leaving a review. I really appreciate your feedback, and it was a pleasure to be a part of your wedding. Unfortunately, when we made the script, I left out the part about the ring exchange, and I was having a hard time seeing the script in the dark. I sent your license out the next day, so if you have not received a copy yet, I would get in touch with someone at the courthouse asap. I'd like to offer you a partial refund, just text me your address. I would also like to sincerely apologize for my mistakes at your wedding. Best of luck to you and Kevin.
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Prices usually range from $75-$150, depending on the length and location of the ceremony.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? In the first conversation, I like to get some basic info about the couple, discuss a price and any theme or special ceremony plans, and set up a face to face meeting. A deposit of half of the agreed upon price will be due at the first meeting if the couple decides to hire me for their ceremony. And of course, as many follow up meetings or calls as necessary. I try to arrive to events at least 30 minutes early- don't want to stress out the bride!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am ordained through Universal Life Church. I have studied other officiants, read my bible and attended wedding webinars. That, mixed with my own experiences, bad and good, have helped me to develop my own style.
