Introduction: I can provide deeper insight and technical knowledge than the average piano instructors out there without charging the fee a college professor normally would. I am also very generous with lesson time and never end a lesson stop-watch style. I enjoy sharing music, which is a living thing that breaths every time we let it pass through us. I enjoy being a torch bearer for the light of music to illuminate people's lives. The making and passing on of music is a miracle, one that suspends my breath in every single one of its sublime moments!

Fred teaches my 8 yr. old grand daughter. She loves him and looks forward to her lessons each week . He has a very good rapport with her and she is eager to do the work. I wish my piano teachers had been as enthusiastic!

Fred Song is the best piano teacher you'll find. He teaches techniques that reduce strain and increase the stamina of your playing. These techniques will benefit you in the long run so that you won't injure yourself .You'll learn how to use your entire body, not just your fingers to play. You'll learn many great techniques such as single and double rotation and much more. He has a great wealth of knowledge about classical piano and has been playing for over two decades, since he was six. He's very passionate and a very patient teacher. I can't believe he only charges $30 a lesson. He also goes out of his way to travel to my home so that I can play on my own piano! You won't find a more consummate and patient piano teacher than Fred Song.

I hadn't had piano lessons in a long time, but Fred was great at helping me feel comfortable get into the swing of things. He works well teaching at any skill level. He also incorporates music theory into his lessons, so not only do you get a lesson, but you learn more about the mechanics behind the music itself. He's very passionate about music, so you can't help but also feel passionate about it as well. I'd highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in lessons.

My daughter has just had a few lessons with him and she has picked up playing her piano really well. I was concerned since she had stopped playing for a year, and her lessons used to be tedious. But Mr. Song has approached it in a manner that she is finding it fun to play and learning at the same time.

Before coming to Fred's studio, I had already been playing for 14+ years with private lessons. However, I hadn't had the opportunity to take lessons for a couple years and I missed the structure that came with piano lessons. Not only did I get the structure that I wanted with weekly piano lessons, but Fred has been able to help re-inspire me to love the instrument. I leave each weekly lesson excited about the music I'm supposed to play. He doesn't waste my time teaching me principles I already know, instead he opens points of discussion about what the composer might have intended and how to play with feeling and expression. There have been several times where the day of my lesson comes and I haven't practiced. I feel apprehensive and wished I'd canceled the lesson with a feigned excuse so I can go home and practice instead. I'm always glad I didn't cancel when I get to the lesson, though, because Fred will inevitably teach me something new and get me excited to try again the next week.
