Both Mr. and Mrs. Thompson are talented individuals with a passion for music and for training the next generation to love it as well. My three children thrived under their instruction. I highly recommend them.

I've been classically trained on all instruments and have a degree in music education to go with it. Anything you want to learn, we can do it!

I have been offering private drum lessons since fall of 1996. I am now based out of Arab Alabama which is 30 miles South of Huntsville. Through the present and for years, I have primarily taught out of my home; but now, I have expanded and will work with students at their homes, if they have the equipment they need to be able and demonstrate and give a proper lesson. This depends on what area they are wanting to pursue or learn in. I am a very firm believer in proper technique and fundamentals, whether a student wants to learn to read or learn by ear technique. I also provide a lot of free material—if reading is involved, as well as other aids like videos, DVDs, etc.—that can help the student enhance the learning experience. I also offer audibly recorded lessons and hope to expand soon to video in the very near future. I have worked with a lot of students from 8 years of age to 40 and over. The majority of my work has been at the local level with students that are wanting to improve their skills for beginner through high school band, but I have also worked with a lot of students that just want to learn to play the drum set—whether it be as a pastime with bands, church or just whatever the student wants to achieve. You can check my website for a more detailed information, especially with any past and present students, band directors, and other people that know me as a player and teacher. Rates are based on the situation or if the student wants to travel to me, or I travel to them.

I teach guitar, ukulele and drums, as well as do drum circles/music therapy and keyboard. I also play harmonica, mandolin and some banjo.

My drum lessons include teaching the student how to read music as well as teaching them how to play a percussion instrument, such as drumsets, drumline instruments, and concert percussion instruments. I am currently a volunteer drum instructor at the Ramsay High School where I am over their award-winning drumline and concert percussion ensemble. I repair drums. I am also a drummer for hire if you need a drummer for a special event, church, band, group, etc.

I teach guitar, drum, piano, bass, and theory lessons. I also provide other musical services upon request.

Hello, friends! My name is Daniel Hargett. I have 20 years of experience in guitar/bass/drums. I can teach from a very basic level to a much more advanced level, all depending on your personal needs and ability. I am willing to travel to students! I play in a few different bands in Birmingham if you would like to research my playing, including Future primitives/The Secret Midnight Band/The Great American Breakdown. I look forward to hearing from you!
