- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge $50 an hour plus mileage, but will quote fixed-priced as much as possible because it works out best for everyone. Fixed priced quotes protect customers from sticker shock, and it gives me the freedom to spend as much time as I think is needed to solve a problem correctly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I work hard to find out what's important for new customers. Some customers need technical assistance to fix a non-functioning PC, others just need help using a PC that works fine.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Degree from ITT in Computer Networking Systems, A+ and Network+ Certifications from CompTIA. I'm IBM, Dell, Lenovo, and Lexmark certified. I'm also a certified Hughes Satellite Internet Technician, and spent 6 years serving in the Alabama National Guard Special Forces as a Satellite Communications Specialist. I've worked in IT for Verizon Online, Fidelity Information Systems, and DCH Health System.
