I had a kitchen faucet leaking that caused considerable damage underneath the sink. David came out and replaced the faucet and fixed the shoddy pipe work of a previous plumber I used at no extra charge. For a big guy David is one of the most agile people I've met. The job required crawling into a small space under the sink. Yet he managed to complete the job without any issues. I would not hesitate to use him again, and highly recommend him. Larry G
Matt Skiba came out to remove a door that led from our garage into our home and drywall and mud to match the texture over the space where the door was. From the beginning, Matt and his assistant did a fantastic job. Although I had scheduled the job approximately 2 months prior to when I needed it done, Matt e-mailed me to confirm the date and time. His communication was continually excellent as he updated me if he was going to be later than his expected time to begin a job. Both he and his assistant, Jacob, performed quality work and did a great job of clean-up after each day of work. I think the job took a little bit longer than expected, but the originally quoted price remained the same. We couldn't have been more satisfied with the work and due to the attention to detail that Matt applied to his job you would never be able to tell that there was ever a door in the area that was drywalled over. We would definitely recommend Ace Home Maintenance again!
Kevin was a lifesaver - taking a small space under a bathroom vanity and patching the pergo floor underneath it. I originally had another "handyman" attempt this and it was a disaster. Kevin fixed his mess up and made it 100% awesome. You would never know a patch job was done - he even removed my toilet to make it perfect. LOVE THIS GUY!
I needed a commercial office space painted and I really wanted the job done as soon as possible. Albert immediately answered on Thumbtack and we exchanged a few chats. He showed up with his crew early the next morning and completed the job in 2 days. It looks amazing! He is very particular about his work and he wants it to look perfect, and it does. They did an outstanding job and they were very neat and also very nice. I highly recommend him.
tl;dr: quality work, on-time, on-budget, fair rate, already had John back for more work I needed a bunch of drywall repair done after I had some plumbers rip my interior walls apart. John was able to patch all of the holes as promised: no bulges, no cracks, and even matched the knockdown texture. A month later I had him back for electrical work to which he and his teammate executed perfectly, to code, as requested, and, again, on-budget. I highly recommend John Ausema and will be requesting his services again in the future.
Chase was great! I had the hardest time putting up some Safe Racks in my garage and he came out and spent the time needed to install them correctly and safely. He went above and beyond going up in my attic in the tightest of spaces ensuring he was installing the system correctly. He was very polite and professional. I would hire again for sure.
The first clean they did was awful, they made it right an came back to clean again. This time they did awesome. Third time was just okay - I had to tell the girls NOT to sweep the floors and use the vacuums. We have three dyson vacuums, one handheld dyson, one regular vacuum and central vacuum. Not sure why anyone would choose to sweep? With all the hard floors, in our large house, sweeping just pushes the dust around and leaves clumps in the corners. They don't seem to have a great system down for remembering notes about each house. Each time (by the same girl who is the supervisor) I have been asked for sheets when I have made it very clear the sheets in master need to be washed each time and put back on the bed. They are here long enough and with two sets of washers and dryers this is easy to do. I also have been trying to get a price for our custom clean for a few weeks now and still nothing from the supervisor. She claims she tried to call twice - but I never received a vmail. I think the ladies would be great in smaller homes but with a crew of 3-4 things seem to get over looked. We have a pet-free home and I clean in-between cleans so I know this is an easy house to clean. I'm going to give them a few more chances to "get the house down" before I make a decision on keeping them.

Photo updates to follow First, I should say that for a big project like this, I would hire John again, bottom line. That is probably the most straightforward way to assess the renovation as a whole. We hear nightmare stories all the time about significant (and even minor) home renovations and, while we had our frustrations, we went through a big job with few significant complaints. Planning/cost: Initially discussing the project, John was extremely receptive to our budget needs: we had saved up a very specific amount of money, and needed to complete two big projects in order to make the house more appealing to future renters (as we plan to move to a home with my wife's parents for the foreseeable future). The house had only one bathroom, even though it was approximately 1600 square feet. We needed to fix that if any families were going to rent. John understood and very clearly explained where we would be able to save money, what he would charge us for his work, for materials he bought vs. materials we provided, the realistic areas we could go cheap and the areas we couldn't scrimp on. John's price was not just competitive, but frankly made the difference between us being able to have these two complete and dramatic projects vs. one that would have left us feeling wanting. However, it was the price along with the fact that his clients indicated he was flexible and budget sensitive through the whole project that made the decision for us. (We've certainly dealt with people who claim to be able to work with "x" budget, and then everything somehow inflates dramatically over time.) We had a laundry/utility room that was separated from the main house by a breezeway. John connected it to the main house with brick in the same style as the house. He converted the room to a full bath and laundry room with a large shower. Simultaneously, he opened up the bare backyard wall of the main house, installing larger windows and glass french doors. Quality of work/cleanliness: John completed a great deal of the work himself, using a subcontractor to perform most of the brick work and the drywall. The quality, functionality, and look of the work overall was simply fantastic. Day after day they meticulously cleaned up their work, leaving as little footprint as possible on our day to day lives throughout the process, which, frankly reduced the stress that I believe tends to naturally accumulate during such projects. Once we paint it I believe the new brick will be entirely indistinguishable from the old. The brick has extremely clean lines in the same pattern as the existing work, and the finishing work around the windows and doors is excellent. We did have a brief ordeal flushing out a clog that seemed to result from construction debris, but ultimately the plumbing is excellent. Similarly, the shower tile work ultimately is terrific, but we did have a problem with the layout due to an error that John corrected, and it looks wonderful. In the bathroom, he took what was basically a junk/laundry room and installed an elegantly laid out vanity, toilet, laundry hookups on one side, and a massive shower, and utility/cleanup sink on the other, with room to spare. He added a simple half-wall to divide the toilet from the washer/dryer that works perfectly to separate the space. The shower he created for us is enormous and beautiful. Every time we go in the room, we are impressed all over again. The whole room could have appeared like a necessary appendage stuck on to the rest of the house, but that large, bright tile shower makes the room look elegant. Flexibility: I hated to lose my very functional utility sink from that room and hadn't planned for a replacement; however, John helped by coming up with a clever solution to put a sealed brick sink in with the water heater closet. which works perfectly. It's a clean, and very functional solution that I constantly appreciate having, though it was certainly a significant adjustment for him. When we requested adjustments, it felt as though John quoted a bit high to accommodate time and materials (and his added stress). But all in all he was fair and up front about the work, his time, and our options. That being said, there were some frustrations: Our frustrations all come down to communication and documentation. I don't fault John for all of this - his talent lies in the work he does; had we been more on the ball, we would have been more clear and organized ourselves. We had any number of preliminary discussions with John, and agreed to three or four major things up front, that satisfied us the work could be done in a way that would meet all of our needs. But as the project began and progressed, numerous details were forgotten. Specifically, the layout of the utility room and the physical requirements for the french doors to be installed. John repeatedly asked how we wanted to accommodate something as if we had not already come to a conclusion on the matter and we would essentially have to re-figure it out. Specifically, he forgot the layout that best accommodated all of the elements I mentioned above, and he forgot that he would have to "float" the bathroom wall, requiring a different (pricier) toilet than originally planned. Additionally, when he went to start work on the french doors, he had to take extra time to order a lintel that would span the entire length rather than two separate lintels - but, of course these were dimensions he'd known since originally planning the project. Things like this ultimately got worked out to our satisfaction, with one frustrating exception, but if either of us had documented what we'd agreed upon, it would have saved a great deal of hassle and debate, as my wife and I had to re-discuss everything ourselves as well, which reinforced John's feeling that we'd never come to a final agreement to begin with. Time/documentation: While we believe John was more than fair in his billing, the lack of clear, consistent documented days/hours prevented us from having a clear, concrete idea where we stood financially during the project. This impacted us when, in a couple of instances, we did ask for changes (such as installing the utility sink) and he quoted us for the change, though we had no idea whether we were in the high or low end of the overall planned project. All of this is to say: John worked it all out, and he did so in a way that was affordable, excellent, excellent, quality, beautiful work. But, in order to avoid frustration, agreements as to planning should be documented and ongoing days/hours worked should be documented. This would help avoid revisiting complicated plans and would allow for adjustments without having to be in the dark about the bottom line. Day in, day out, we are grateful for the work John did, and that it didn't eat us alive financially, because he did come in right in line with the budget. We love looking through our fantastic glass doors every morning. We have guests stay with us for a day or two, and love having a beautiful distinct bathroom they can use when they stay with us. We love knowing they won't feel they're entering into some dark corner of the house tacked on because it had to be, but that there's a beautiful bath with plenty of space that they can make themselves feel at home in.
Frank did a great job doing wallpaper on 5 walls for my office space. He had a super quick turnaround and worked with our tight schedule to fit us in and get the job done fast. He worked very quickly and did an amazing and professional job. Would highly recommend him

We purchased a house in 2014, and the house needed some work done on the inside and a little work on the outside to make it our home. Ray patched and repaired holes, repainted the entire house on the inside and even did a couple of specialty wall colors for my kids rooms, he fixed a couple of leaky faucets we had throughout the house, he repaired the step at our front door which was cracking, he repaired roof tiles, and even installed new Bistro lights for the backyard to give more light to the outdoor space. Ray Winn was on-time and professional with all his work and everything was completed in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend Ray Winn.
Sam and Tyler from T & T Custsoms did an amazing job installing my kitchen cabinets! They were honest about the fact that they needed to see my space and take some measurements before giving me a guaranteed price. They are good people doing great work. I just can’t say enough about what a great experience we had with Austin at Quality Power Supply. He showed up right on time to help us do some re-wiring work when we remodeled our condo. He had to crawl into tight spaces up in the attic and did it all with a smile! He even made some helpful suggestions to our plans that really made the project even better than we imagined!

He completed a carpentry project for me, custom bookshelf for an odd corner of wasted space in my home, and it looks great! I'm very happy with his work, and the price was fair.
They installed a walk-in shower, higher toilet, new vanity and sink, and new tile floor - all of which really helped my husband function more independently. I really appreciated the way they always cleaned up their work space at the end of the day. They also moved their tools and supplies that were in our garage off to the side and swept up the area so that I could put my car in the garage at the end of the day. All garbage and items to be disposed of were taken care of in a timely way.
The skill and attention to detail that Charley took in the construction of a 2.5 car garage attached to our newly built home is very impressive. He takes pride in a job well done---from concrete to siding, to roofing. Afterwards, we wish he had been available to take part in a greater portion of our home build. He left the area spotless, unlike the other contractors who left nails, staples, trash, and boards strewn all over, It may be their work space today, but later, our grandchildren's safety was a concern. In addition, to create a quality project, Charley often fixed the poor install of others, especially if it affected the integrity of his project. He always kept us apprised of any issues and stayed on schedule. We are very pleased with his work and would recommend him as someone who still believes in quality and exceptional customer service.
