William has been tutoring my daughter in math and I have been seeing a big improvement in her grade. Williams is a geat tutor, his teaching techniques is very simple and makes it a lot more easier for my daughter to understand the processes step by step. I would recommend William to anyone.
Sarah has to be one of the most professional and passionate teachers my boys have had. She is extremely thorough in preparing for lessons. She is able to have a structured and focused environment and keep it enjoyable. She has strong ideas about works of liturature that will most benefit the students yet she was flexible enough to engage my children into a conversation to include their interests. My boys consistenly receive feedback from teachers about their high quality of reading comprehension and writing skills. Sarah was instrumental in this. You can feel 100% confident in selecting her as a teacher for your child.
Laurie is very well organized and inspiring. The reading and outlining approach is effective and can be easily applied to various reading material. I also like her summary after every class, very helpful for parents to know the focus areas and review with kids between classes.
Eric has helped my daughter with Fitzgerald’s translation of The Odyssey. Her reading comprehension and analysis have improved greatly. Most importantly, she now views reading the tale as a piece of art rather than a reading chore. It’s inspiring!
THE SCORE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.
In March of 2015 my son took his first SAT in the spring semester of his Junior year in High School. He has always had an excellent command of English and had not felt the need to seek additional tutoring in preparation. This first shot at the SAT gave him a Writing score of 690 in the Reading portion (within the 95th percentile) and 660 in the Writing portion (within the 92nd percentile). Although we were pleased with his scores, his college counselor however, had already gotten to know him well by this point and thought that with a little guidance and knowledge of testing techniques there could be room for improvement. She recommended we contact Ms. Flowers who immediately started working with him in anticipation of the next SAT test date just a few months away the following June. They worked diligently meeting about once per week until test day. Test day came along and my son took the test and felt very confident upon completion. The results proved the decision and extra effort to tutor with Ms. Flowers was well worth it. The June test score for Reading jumped 90 points to 780 (scoring in the 99th percentile) and the Writing score jumped 50 points to 710 (scoring in the 96th percentile). This was no coincidence, it was due to Ms. Flowers tutoring. Of note, my son is gifted but must also deal with ADD. She knew exactly how to work with him to get the job done. Thank you Ms. Flowers!
I would highly recommend Lynda Peretz as an excellent reading and math tutor. My son was having a great deal of difficulty when he started fourth grade. His reading grade level was below the other students in his class. He did not enjoy reading and I often had to battle with him to complete his homework assignments. Lynda helped foster a love for reading and helped motivate him by introducing books he had not been exposed to.
Lynda helped my son with math by teaching him little tricks that made math seem like a fun activity.
If you ever need a tutor that truly enjoys helping students improve give Lynda a call. She is a terrific tutor and clearly, a very lovely and gifted person.
Linda was my daughters tutor for 18 months. Linda was amazing. She was reliable, diligent, caring and made all the difference with my daughters ability to improve her reading, writing, comprehension, spelling, memorizing and organizing skills.
Jeff has been working with my 15 year old for nearly a year. He has been a supportive and encouraging coach for swimming as well as provided tutoring I the subject of geography, language and math. He has stayed informed about the particular need of my child and tries to implement new strategies based on his observations. It has been very successful. My son has enjoyed working with him and always looks forward to his next session.
My son was having a hard time with understanding algebra 1 and we were also always arguing about homework - no peace in this situation. He also did NOT want a tutor. Within two weeks, he changed his attitude because the tutor was really getting him to understand algebra. The twice a week sessions got him through all the homework too, so my son got his video game privileges back! THAT made him happy!! Now going into geometry we are still keeping the same tutor and schedule. Our tutor also helps with prepping for tests, keeping our son's backpack organized and structure for writing his English papers. Our son also thinks his tutor is "cool". All and all this is a great thing for our family.
I am a current math and reading tutor, focusing primarily on elementary and middle school. I am working on ATA certification and building a client base. Since I am also a working technology executive, I am available after 5:00 p.m. during the week and daytime on the weekends.
My work stands out because I love math and reading books. So my goal is to help other children have that same passion and fun when learning math and reading. Which makes my work more relatable and fun.
I have always excelled at anything involving writing, literature or any of the literary arts. I have always tested well and I am currently working towards my masters in library and information Science. That is all due to my life long love of reading.

This letter is to serve as a reference regarding my families past experiences with tutoring completed by Erin Rueckles. There are several tutors out there but I was looking for someone special. I wanted someone that would specifically work with my two children not only on subject specific needs but overall planning and scheduling. Erin was good enough to start part way into the school year and was able to make significant progress with my kids. At first the kids were not excited about the idea of a tutor but I think they both quickly realized that Erin was interested in their success and was able to make them feel good about their time working together. She was able to build their confidence and get them through the challenges they faced. I would recommend Erin to anyone interested and we are looking forward to working with her during the upcoming school year.
