Introduction: My services stand out because I give my students one-on-one attention. First, we discuss your goals for learning a second language and any timeframes that might be important to you (vacations, visiting relatives from another country, etc) then I develop a plan that we review together so that those goals can be achieved. I have almost thirty years of experience as a linguist and am accomplished in my field. My students benefit greatly from my knowledge of both the vocabulary and culture of the language being learned. I also am a grammarian so I am able to teach grammar in all the subjects that I tutor. For students reviewing or preping for PSAT, SAT or one of the exams, I assist in reading comprehension and in-depth writing skills. I do not generally tutor in math although I have for elementary grade students. I am a life-long learner so I love to teach because I love to learn...I learn something new everytime I tutor someone. It gives me a great deal of joy to share my gift of languages and to watch my students progress to the point of reaching their goals. Nothing pleases me more than when one of my students comes back to me and says that they carried on an entire conversation in a second language!
