John Gluch is an extremely knowledgeable, patient, trust-worthy and effective real estate agent. I was a first-time home buyer, and walked into the (8-month long!) process of finding the perfect home with John as my very patient guide. He is quick to answer his phone, return emails, answer questions, and will meet you to look at listings as soon as he possibly can. John is a pleasure to work with and has the ability to explain simply and walk you through some of the most confusing and convoluted processes in the real estate industry. He has a strong knowledge of the local market, with helpful input on the various neighborhoods of the Valley. He takes his service beyond being just a real estate agent, and is helpful in every step of the process - even after the deal is closed! We signed a contract with Nate to sell our house. Nate was amazing with his advise on what we needed to do before we put our house on the market. After we got done with the short list Nate put it on the market and the house sold in less than 24hrs. Nate priced the house perfectly and we received a generous offer so we accepted.     My husband and I are in our 60's and have over the years worked with several real estate agents - I can honestly say that Vicky is by far the most on the ball agent we have ever had the pleasure to have work for us. And when I say work, this lady truly works hard - she is aggressive when working with lenders for deadlines and gives direct answers to your questions. We told her what we were looking for and she didn't try to show us properties that were not what we were looking for or out of our price range. I would highly recommend Vicky to anyone looking for an honest, hard-working agent that listens to your wants and needs.     The Frank May group was exceptional! From Day One, all of the people with whom my wife and I came into contact, were personable, customer-centered, and professional. They were *never* pushy, impatient, or unkind. They sought to insure that we were completely satisfied with our purchase and that all of our questions were answered along the way of choosing just the right house for us. This was, by far, the very best experience we have ever had with a real estate agency.     I have used the folks at Top Property Shop for a few purchases and a couple of sale transactions. I love the expertise and knowledge, I think they are very knowledgeable and well trained. I have never had this kind of experience before at any other brokerages. Everyone I have done business with, seems to stay on top of things and helps to get the deal done. They seem to have a knack for helping solve problems that inevitably come up, and it is very apparent to me that they are experienced agents.       What's the difference between a real estate broker and an agent?

      Real estate agents and real estate brokers both help clients buy, sell, and rent residential and commercial properties. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, real estate brokers are licensed to manage their own real estate businesses. Real estate agents cannot have their own real estate office and must work under a broker. Real estate brokers often have real estate firms and employ real estate agents. Those real estate agents may be employees of the firm, or they may work on contract and earn part of any commission they bring into the firm.

      What should you look for in a real estate agent?

      When you’re hiring a real estate agent you want to find a qualified pro who can negotiate the best deal for your home — whether you’re buying or selling. Reading reviews will help you weed out obvious bad operators; you want to work with someone who treats their clients with fairness and respect. That said, you also want someone who can play hardball and maximize your real estate deal. Ask for references from recent clients, and be sure to call them.

      Experts encourage you to interview more than one prospective real estate agent before hiring. A home sale or home purchase is a big deal — sometimes the biggest deal in a person’s life — and you want to find an agent who will work hard for you. In today’s market, having a real estate agent who is social media savvy and has an attractive online presence is critical. Ask the agent how they plan to market your house. Review their listings, and ask yourself if they have professional photos with homes that are professionally staged. If the answer is no, they might not have the marketing savvy you’re looking for.       What do real estate agents charge?

      Real estate agents typically don’t charge a set rate to their clients, but rather earn a commission on the price of the final home sale. In traditional real estate, there is a buyer’s agent and a seller’s agent. The two agents receive 5 percent to 6 percent of the final home sale price and split it evenly, meaning they each earn roughly 2.5 percent to 3 percent of the total home sale. If you are a home seller, you may have fees associated with the sale that are above and beyond the commission the agents earn. The real estate agent may have you pay marketing fees, MLS fees, early cancellation fees, or more. Always ask pricing details before signing a contract so you clearly understand your financial obligations. Here are some of the average (and common) costs that can arise when selling a home:
