Chase Maupin

Introduction: I have over 12 years of learning experience, including private lessons, college, over 16 years of performing experience (stage and studio), and over 14 years of teaching experience - giving private lessons and some group classes/workshops. I've played professionally in rock bands, corporate entertainment groups, and a dance company. My teaching style focuses on patience, emphasis on thorough practice methods, and of course, just having fun in general! I teach primarily drum set techniques and classical percussion including standard rudimentary techniques for an overall good foundation for all ages and skill levels. I've also briefly taught piano to apply music theory knowledge for foundation purposes. At the same time I believe teaching students the music they enjoy helps them to keep interest in the instrument and have lots of fun! I enjoy being a drum instructor because it's fun and very rewarding to watch students enjoy the instrument and reach their goals.
