Eddie is absolutely one of the most fun and passionate individuals I have ever worked with. From the get go Eddie has a plan when starting lessons with one, the results show much quicker then one thinks as well. My chops and overall touch and feel have changed dramatically since I took drum lessons with Eddie. Eddie is also flexible and if you have something in mind that you want to learn like a song for example; Eddie is more then willing to oblige. Overall, I had a great experience and I highly recommend Eddie Vallee to anyone young or old who wants to take drum lessons with him!

Matt has been an amazing resource in his teaching methods. I am new to drumming completely and Matt was able to give me the tools to build a solid foundation of proper techniques. He really focused on what methods could improve my current progress. Thank you Matt!

My daughter has taken drum lessons for years, but started lessons with Eric a few months ago. I've seen a lot more improvement lately as well as a boosted interest in playing/practicing more often. Eric has a practical approach to his teaching that simulates that of a performance drummer. In other words, he gets them playing real repertoire while at the same time implementing proper technique. He's also reliable via scheduling and studio set up. As a music teacher myself, I'm happy to call Eric a true professional and I'm happy that we found him.

Brett is the best drum set teacher in AZ! Many years ago, when I was in High School, Brett actually taught me how to play through Zappa's "The Black Page". This is serious instruction, folks. I still have all the print outs and hand-written exercises, and play through on occasion to keep the rust off. Give Brett a call!

My 5-year old son had his first lesson with Jim this afternoon. We appreciated Jim's knowledge, and skill but most importantly, his patience. He took his time teaching my 5 year old the proper method of holding the drum stick and we noticed improvement and growth right away. We made sure to book our next session for the following weekend. My son is very anxious! Thank you Jim!

Couldn't ask for a better drum teacher! We enlisted Bryan's help because my child was required to play an instrument in band, and within the first two weeks of school, we realized no instruction on the snare drum was provided. I contacted Bryan and he was very helpful, flexible and understanding with our situation, and fit us into the schedule immediately. My child has been taking lessons with Bryan for a full year, and they have been fantastic, and we are continuing for the foreseeable future. We started the lessons in order to keep up with middle school band. It's evolved into a child who continues to learn the fundamentals and techniques necessary to be a real drummer, but also has a lot of fun in the process. Bryan is a very patient, and fun teacher. He even teacher my child how to play songs she hears on the radio. Bryan's students run the range of real professional drummers, to beginners, and everything in between. If more teachers were like Bryan, I think more kids, particularly those who are required to play instruments in school, would be interested in music. I would give him more than a 5 star rating if I could. He is truly outstanding. My child continues to learn what she needs to know, but she's also developed an appreciation for music and enjoys it. Thank you Bryan!

Nick is a wonderful drum instructor. He's so focused and is always on track. My son (10 y.o) had learned his drum fills just after 6 lessons. Nick had been teaching him for only 6 months but he can already play rock, bosse nova, rudiments and coaching confidence. Within this period of time, he'd learned to play songs like Rolling in the Deep, Fight song, Hello, Wheel in the Sky, Every little step I take, Hound Dog, Smooth Operator and I was made for loving You. As an instructor, Nick is so talented that he was able to "inspire" young aspirants like my son. If you are looking for a drum instructor who's full of talent, perseverance, patience and objectivity, Nick is your guy. You'll definitely learn a lot from him.

About

Hello! After studying drumset performance at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City, I have recently relocated to Phoenix, Arizona to begin teaching and performing. I first began studying percussion and drumset over eight years ago; since then, I have performed in major venues and festivals including the Monterey Jazz Festival (California), Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Umbria Jazz Festival (Italy), Frederick P. Rose Hall (New York City), and Carnegie Hall (New York City). Additionally, I have performed with notable artists such as Brice Winston, Charles McPherson, Ray Drummond, and Jason Carder. I have had extensive experience performing and teaching many styles of music including jazz, rock, hip hop, and latin. However, I am just as enthusiastic about teaching beginners the basic fundamentals of percussion and the drumset. My home studio, located just off of 46th St. and Chandler Blvd. in Ahwatukee, is fully equipped with two drumsets and other teaching materials. But I will commute to students' homes/studios for lessons, if requested. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

About

I take the time to teach kids the basics and the fundamentals of drumming, getting them to the right level of becoming a great experienced drummer. I also let them have some exposure in order to play for artists, churches, and even concerts for them to have a chance to get paid for what they love to do and also to make great music in the industry. Playing the drums is fun when you call Jay1. Thank you for your time, and I am hoping you will give me a chance to show you the experience that I have been gaining from other drummers. And speaking of other drummers, the drummers that really inspired me are Joshua Donald, Aaron Spears, Steve Gadd, Travis Barker, Spanky McCurdy, Tony Royster Jr., and last but not least, Eric Moore. Thank you for your time and God bless.

I offer drum lessons. I've been teaching students of all ages, from beginner to advanced, drawing from my many years of professional experience in the studio and live playing as well as touring. We combine what the student is interested in (more so for advanced) and what they need work on. To get you playing with less effort, more control, better ideas, on top of a very solid groove, I am using traditional books and years of teaching experience. I also offer music lessons, covering beginning piano. The student learns how to read and play notes, rhythms, chords, melodies and scales. I also teach bass guitar. The students will learn to read rhythms, notes on instrument and scales, approach to good technique, articulation and read tab and standard music.
