I have been teaching private piano, violin, guitar, and ukulele lessons since 2009. I teach beginner to intermediate for violin, guitar, and ukulele and beginner to advanced for piano. I have worked to get a music theory degree with a focus in piano and composition from MCC and will transfer to ASU. I encourage creativity and composing (writing songs). I have written and self-published my own series of piano books with more in the works. I instill a love and confidence in students in composing their own music. If you choose to bring more than one child at a time to lessons, I have an iPad, flashcards, and other tools where they can practice honing their music skills through music games during their sibling's lesson. If need be, I can travel to you. I charge a $10 trip charge each time I drive out to you, not including the regular price at $30 an hour. I also offer online lessons through the Google Hangouts app and the Facebook Messenger app with the video chat option. I hold two recitals a year where students play the pieces they have memorized or composed.
