Judd arrived on time. I have had three other plumbers look at why our instant water heater wasn't consistently heating water, and he is the first one who noticed that the temperature monitor was not installed. He also figured out that the flow rate on the shower was not high enough to trigger the water heater to turn on, and that the Delta T (spread between incoming water temp and set temp on heater) might not have been wide enough. He also cleaned out the shower heads. The showers have been hot and wonderful since he addressed all these issues. I really appreciate the time he took to do such a comprehensive evaluations. Everyone else was just worried about getting out quick, while he took the time to do a really great job. Thank you!
Luis did a good job in installing my water softner. He showed up on-time. All the work was perfect and no mess was left behind. He also helped me dispose off my old water softner. He showed me what all work was done and provided me some tips on appliance and also water heater. I will definitely hire Lou again!
We had a gas water heater that failed over the weekend and required an immediate replacement. I submitted the job on Thumb Tack to do the install and soon received multiple quotes to complete the job. They were all over chart in price but the one from John at The House Doctor was the best. John called we worked out the details of the job and a scheduled a time. John and his helper were outstanding. They were on time after first picking up the water heater I purchased from a local store. They had the new unit installed in about two hours, cleaned up all the packing and hauled away the old heater. It was great to work with a service that honored the price quoted and not try to add on additional costs for haul away. Very transparent in their pricing and did a professional job in a timely manner. Highly recommend them.
Martin is quick to respond to my request for service, he did not ask if I have an electric or gas heater ahead of time, but graciously offered to honor his estimate prior to job onset.
Great service. Our water heater was not one that could readily be fixed. I was worried about having to get a new one. However, he went above and beyond by contacting the mfg and hunting down the required part. He even came early to work on it. Cost was extremely reasonable and water is running fine. I would definitely recommend his services.
Tech was very knowledge and thorough in his work. He fixed our drainage issue and took the time to examine our sinks, toilets and water heater for other issues and gave us thorough estimates and advice on everything. I really appreciated how quickly and easily we were able to set up the appointment as well, and the tech was right on time.
I had a potential buyer for my home and during the inspection it was noted that the hot water heater had corrosion and was on an improper base. To make matters worse, it was a 75 gallon water heater; not always in stock. Michael Defrates put in a very reasonable bid and performed the work within 48 hours. He brought everything with him and even did a terrific clean up job. His work is top notch and I highly recommend him. The potential buyers signed the contract thanks to his fast work.
Carlos went above and beyond installing my new water heater. My water heater died on Valentine's Day. Carlos gave me a quote, met me at Home Depot and hauled my new water heater into his truck. When we got back to my house he noticed that we had the wrong water heater. We went back to Home Depot and got the right one. He was punctual, honest and did a great job. He gave me tips to keep my water heater running great. He did this all in 2 hours. Amazing! Thank you Carlos for spending part of your day off helping me out.
I had been without a water heater for a week and the new one could not be installed until I had someone out to rebuild the platform that the water heater sat on. It had become an emergency situation because I didn't know we were not going to be able to use the old platform the heater had been sitting on unitl Wednesday evening. I called Josh late on Wednesday night and he had someone out the next morning. They worked on it all day Thursday and were finished by 5pm. Josh sent George out to do the work and he did an awesome job! I was able to have my new water heater installed the following day. I highly recommend them!
Dave came out to my house on a Saturday, was on time and professionally installed my tankless water heater with no disruption to my house. Very impressed and will definitely use him again.
Photo updates to follow First, I should say that for a big project like this, I would hire John again, bottom line. That is probably the most straightforward way to assess the renovation as a whole. We hear nightmare stories all the time about significant (and even minor) home renovations and, while we had our frustrations, we went through a big job with few significant complaints. Planning/cost: Initially discussing the project, John was extremely receptive to our budget needs: we had saved up a very specific amount of money, and needed to complete two big projects in order to make the house more appealing to future renters (as we plan to move to a home with my wife's parents for the foreseeable future). The house had only one bathroom, even though it was approximately 1600 square feet. We needed to fix that if any families were going to rent. John understood and very clearly explained where we would be able to save money, what he would charge us for his work, for materials he bought vs. materials we provided, the realistic areas we could go cheap and the areas we couldn't scrimp on. John's price was not just competitive, but frankly made the difference between us being able to have these two complete and dramatic projects vs. one that would have left us feeling wanting. However, it was the price along with the fact that his clients indicated he was flexible and budget sensitive through the whole project that made the decision for us. (We've certainly dealt with people who claim to be able to work with "x" budget, and then everything somehow inflates dramatically over time.) We had a laundry/utility room that was separated from the main house by a breezeway. John connected it to the main house with brick in the same style as the house. He converted the room to a full bath and laundry room with a large shower. Simultaneously, he opened up the bare backyard wall of the main house, installing larger windows and glass french doors. Quality of work/cleanliness: John completed a great deal of the work himself, using a subcontractor to perform most of the brick work and the drywall. The quality, functionality, and look of the work overall was simply fantastic. Day after day they meticulously cleaned up their work, leaving as little footprint as possible on our day to day lives throughout the process, which, frankly reduced the stress that I believe tends to naturally accumulate during such projects. Once we paint it I believe the new brick will be entirely indistinguishable from the old. The brick has extremely clean lines in the same pattern as the existing work, and the finishing work around the windows and doors is excellent. We did have a brief ordeal flushing out a clog that seemed to result from construction debris, but ultimately the plumbing is excellent. Similarly, the shower tile work ultimately is terrific, but we did have a problem with the layout due to an error that John corrected, and it looks wonderful. In the bathroom, he took what was basically a junk/laundry room and installed an elegantly laid out vanity, toilet, laundry hookups on one side, and a massive shower, and utility/cleanup sink on the other, with room to spare. He added a simple half-wall to divide the toilet from the washer/dryer that works perfectly to separate the space. The shower he created for us is enormous and beautiful. Every time we go in the room, we are impressed all over again. The whole room could have appeared like a necessary appendage stuck on to the rest of the house, but that large, bright tile shower makes the room look elegant. Flexibility: I hated to lose my very functional utility sink from that room and hadn't planned for a replacement; however, John helped by coming up with a clever solution to put a sealed brick sink in with the water heater closet. which works perfectly. It's a clean, and very functional solution that I constantly appreciate having, though it was certainly a significant adjustment for him. When we requested adjustments, it felt as though John quoted a bit high to accommodate time and materials (and his added stress). But all in all he was fair and up front about the work, his time, and our options. That being said, there were some frustrations: Our frustrations all come down to communication and documentation. I don't fault John for all of this - his talent lies in the work he does; had we been more on the ball, we would have been more clear and organized ourselves. We had any number of preliminary discussions with John, and agreed to three or four major things up front, that satisfied us the work could be done in a way that would meet all of our needs. But as the project began and progressed, numerous details were forgotten. Specifically, the layout of the utility room and the physical requirements for the french doors to be installed. John repeatedly asked how we wanted to accommodate something as if we had not already come to a conclusion on the matter and we would essentially have to re-figure it out. Specifically, he forgot the layout that best accommodated all of the elements I mentioned above, and he forgot that he would have to "float" the bathroom wall, requiring a different (pricier) toilet than originally planned. Additionally, when he went to start work on the french doors, he had to take extra time to order a lintel that would span the entire length rather than two separate lintels - but, of course these were dimensions he'd known since originally planning the project. Things like this ultimately got worked out to our satisfaction, with one frustrating exception, but if either of us had documented what we'd agreed upon, it would have saved a great deal of hassle and debate, as my wife and I had to re-discuss everything ourselves as well, which reinforced John's feeling that we'd never come to a final agreement to begin with. Time/documentation: While we believe John was more than fair in his billing, the lack of clear, consistent documented days/hours prevented us from having a clear, concrete idea where we stood financially during the project. This impacted us when, in a couple of instances, we did ask for changes (such as installing the utility sink) and he quoted us for the change, though we had no idea whether we were in the high or low end of the overall planned project. All of this is to say: John worked it all out, and he did so in a way that was affordable, excellent, excellent, quality, beautiful work. But, in order to avoid frustration, agreements as to planning should be documented and ongoing days/hours worked should be documented. This would help avoid revisiting complicated plans and would allow for adjustments without having to be in the dark about the bottom line. Day in, day out, we are grateful for the work John did, and that it didn't eat us alive financially, because he did come in right in line with the budget. We love looking through our fantastic glass doors every morning. We have guests stay with us for a day or two, and love having a beautiful distinct bathroom they can use when they stay with us. We love knowing they won't feel they're entering into some dark corner of the house tacked on because it had to be, but that there's a beautiful bath with plenty of space that they can make themselves feel at home in.
The first projects Joseph Lynch did for me was to replace built-in appliances; microwave, disposal, and dishwasher. He has subsequently repaired problems with both outdoor irrigation plumbing and indoor plumbing, including replacing a water heater. He helped me with renovation projects of all kinds, such as running electrical lines to add ceiling fans to bedrooms, and replacing counters, cabinets, toilets and sinks. He has a lot of experience, and knows how to do things right the first time.
My water heater was leaking and One Call Services came out so fast to repair it! Excellent service and very knowledgeable as well. I will use again.
I discovered a leak in the hot water heater and posted on thumbtack about 1:30 PM. I chose to call West plumbing at 2:00 PM, Jim was here before 3:00 to inspect the heater. He checked to see if the heater was still under warranty and found it was still covered. He left to pick up new heater, returned and had to do some extra plumbing. All work was completed and the work area cleaned before 6:00 PM. I would recommend West Plumbing to everyone.
Great job. They arrived when they said and finished the job fast. The new water heater looks great. Very professional. I highly recommend them. Thanks guys.
Morgan was a pleasure to talk with on the phone - she quickly found a specialist in my area for the same day. Alex came within about an hour after I called him. Immediately cleared off the stuff that was damaged by water and set up dehumidifier, fan, and applied treatment. Came back on the third day to wrap everything up. The area was completely dry and ready for drywall repair. It was a pleasure working with Alex. I would definitely hire them again. The price was very reasonable.
Kevin was prompt, courteous and very professional. He returned my query in minutes and had replaced my old water heater in less than 12 hours after I sent my first email. He was also half the cost of the other plumber I had gotten a quote from. I'll have him back to do more work on my house in the next few weeks!
We had an energy audit done by Entirely Pure. They were very thorough on checking all aspect of our house and informing us of all the different things we can do and how much we could save. We installed an attic fan, radiant barrier and window tint. A++ company
I have used Allegiance Water Services to fix a broken water line and to install a water heater. The staff are professional, courteous, and extremely hard working. The water line consisted of hand digging through very hard compacted clay and rock during the hottest Arizona weather. The staff was tired, sore, and sweating profusely, yet they finished the job skillfully and didn't take any shortcuts. Three years after Allegiance Water Services installed my water heater, it malfunctioned. I notified them and within a day they removed it and installed a brand new water heater and charged labor costs only. This is a service company that will work with you on pricing, date of service, and will ensure that you are treated fairly. They stand behind their work and products and will do what it takes to make it right. I recommend them highly.
Ben is awesome.....He explained in great detail how he was going to handle my repair and gave me a very fair price. Affordable Plumbing is AFFORDABLE. Their name says it and you can believe it!
