Amy shows a great deal of experience and expertise in helping us works with our dogs, ones a special needs dog. She was very relatable and explained things in a way that made sense. We would tell Amy the unwanted behavior and she would not only present a solution, but also explain where the behavior most likely came from, why the behavior continues and what we can do to minimize/eliminate the triggers for the unwanted behavior. We have already seen some notable progress in the first few days following Amys visit. I would highly recommend Amy and Dog Speak Training to any dog owner.
I hired K9 Katelyn to help train my australian shepherd and liked his approach of positive reinforcement. I've done dog training classes in the past, but hands down I've never learned as much as I did by going through this program. I took at least a page of notes during every session which aided me greatly when we practiced during the week. I literally feel like I have a book of knowledge now and could train any new dog on my own now. And the only reason I think I could do that is because of the copious notes I was asked to take each week during our training sessions. My dog is super well behaved, was able to learn all the skills, and is very obedient now. I can't thank Tom and K9 Katelyn enough for helping me train my dog.
I have 2 10 year old Yorkies and 1 5 year old small mix breed. All male. They had issues with other dogs, excessive barking, one of my Yorkies was very aggressive with the other Yorkie, and they had a lot of anxiety. Nate really helped with all their issues. He seems to genuinely care for all dogs and made it very easy for us to continue training our dogs to improve their behavior and to be less anxious. Nate came to our home for some of the training and we also did group training at a park with other dogs and their owners. We had a great experience with Nate and have seem amazing results. Would definitely recommend him.
Kim is an amazing dog trainer. Our dogs are calm after just 3 sessions. The dogs like the training as much as we do.
My puppy was a disaster until we found her! She’s great at accommodating busy schedules and my puppy absolutely loved her! Great personalized attention that you can’t get in group dog training sessions
Being new to dog ownership and the "dog world" I was skeptical about training in general. I knew I didn't want some kid from petsmart training me dog but at the same time I wasn't looking for someone who was an elitist and looked down on me for not knowing much about training. I found hunter canine on thumbtack kind of at random. Andrew called me and thoroughly answered all my questions and concerns. The price was fair and comparable to other professional trainers I had inquired about. Having just completed beginner obedience I can say that these guys are great. It's obvious from the minute you start class that Andrew and Chad are passionate about what they do. The facility is amazing, it's big, it's clean, and the trainers are knowledgable and helpful. In just 8 short weeks we've seen massive changes our dogs behavior. The class objectives are clear and the trainers are always attentive to any issue you may have with your dog during class. Even in the group classes the trainers still provide ample one on one time with each dog and their handlers. We enjoyed the class so much that we have enrolled our dog in the CGC prep class and plan on doing more training in the future. I would recommend Hunter Canine to anyone looking for training, if you show up to class and do your part (practicing what you've learned) you won't be disappointed...
Since most dog training is for the owners and not the pet, Cat knows how to train both animal and owner. What I love about her methods is that they are all non aggressive or punitive. She could be Scottsdale's Dog Whisper she is so good.
Kathrine Breeden, Professional Canine Trainer - Accredited (PCT-A) is a behavioral consultant I can confidently and highly recommend to help with any problem you may be experiencing with your dog and/or for basic manners training. As a colleague, I know her to be one of the most competent as well as loving dog teachers you and your dog could hope to find. Linda Michaels, M.A. Psychology
Too bad you only offer 5 stars for your rating as my experience with Cherene and Wizedogs was so much more! When Franklin found me last year, he was pretty beat up, had been on the streets for at least 6 months! After 9 months, we realized that our love was not enough! He was pretty much limited to his pinned in area and yard. The minute he came into the house, he would have a potty melt down. We found Cherene on Thumbtack and she took him in and now we have a housebroken dog, who comes when called, sits on command AND shakes hands, heels when he walks on leash next to me and is now a big part of our family! I highly recommend Cherene for your dog training and boarding! She is definitely dog's best friend! Best call I ever made!!!
Renee's classes were so relaxed and fun. We got a new puppy and this was the first time I'd ever gone to dog training classes. Renee explains how a dog thinks and learns. Teaching them new things is easier than I though it would be. You do need time and patience. I wish I would have done it with our previous dogs. Thanks Renee!
As a first time dog parent, I wanted to get my lab puppy into training as soon as possible. Roxann answered my numerous questions about training and even met with me to answer more questions before we agreed to work together. Roxann worked with my pup and me for five weeks. She also gave tutorials to my parents who were in town so all were communicating the same way to the dog. Roxann was patient and reviewed the lessons as needed. Now my dog is in puppy kindergarten. I am so very glad for the private lessons with Roxann before going to this group class. My dog is much more successful because of the private lessons.
I'm a first time dog owner and really had no idea what I was doing. We found Brandy on Thumbtack site and we decided to give it a shot. Max was already 7 months old so we had no idea what she would know so the idea of obedience training sounded wonderful. Brandy definitely taught the basics as well as the other things that we wanted with our dog. Brandy also talked through issues we've had, given great advice and tips and Working with Max on them has definitely made a huge difference. Max has learnt some amazing behaviors. He can sit, come, sleep and walk loosely on a leash. Our bond with our puppy is incredible and we owe a lot to Brandy for helping me overcome my fear of dogs. I recommend her for owners with dogs of any age. Brandy came to our house and totally understood my dog's dilemmas. She taught positive training techniques that actually worked! She helped us prevent Max from resource guarding and regain order in the house.
I highly, highly recommend Brenda at Awesome Mannered Canines! She is an outstanding trainer, and it is clear that she loves what she does! I have worked with a couple of other trainers over the years, and no one has wowed me until I started working with Brenda! I have taken three dogs through her group classes, and every time has been a fantastic experience. Not only do the dogs learn their commands, but they also learn how to behave around other dogs, and in public places! Brenda goes above and beyond just basic puppy training. By the end of the six week class, it is clear that each and every dog enrolled has made tremendous progress! I have also seen remarkable successes in dogs that Brenda has worked with to correct problem behaviors. Two of the dogs in Brenda's Canine Good Citizen class (which dog and I attended as well) had previously worked with her due to leash-reaction issues, and are now on their way to earning their CGC - that's amazing progress!! She helped my pit bull, Arya and I earn her Canine Good Citizen certification last year, and it's been an amazing experience. I honestly couldn't recommend her more highly!
Balancing Paws is top-notch! Yoni and his team at Balancing Paws are incredible, seriously! We had one of our dogs stay with his team for a week and when she came back to us, she was a different (much more balanced dog). Yoni equipped us with the tools to maintain what he created and because of that, the stress in our household is gone and our two dogs have never seemed more happy. We still go to the group classes because the environment Yoni has created is excellent!
My dogs had incredible training and were well taken care of during the times we had to board them. It is a pleasure taking them to this facility. I highly recommend it.
Anton worked with us on training our Aussie puppy Bailey. Bailey was a little crazy and we knew we needed professional help to train him. Lorenzo's was referred by our vet, along with several other trainers. After speaking with each of the companies they referred and speaking to other personal recommendations we received from friends, we went with Lorenzo's. From the first time I spoke with Anton, I felt a trust in him. He was very understanding of what we wanted and worked with us until both he and the family thought Bailey was in a good place with his training. Anton was very understanding of each of our family members and where they were personally at with Bailey's training. He took the extra time on each session to make sure we were working with Bailey and comfortable with the lessons we had previously used, as well as the new lesson for the day. He was also very accommodating to our work and school schedules, which helped us tremendously. The cost of the training and tools were more expensive than what we were originally looking to spend, we feel that the training program was totally worth the expense. We continue to work with Bailey and his training on a personal level. What is even better is that we have the option to take him to group training sessions on a regular basis with Lorenzo's for as long as we would like. I would recommend Lorenzo's very highly.
When we welcomed our Labrador retriever puppy, Charlie, into our family almost three years ago, we wanted her to be a part of our active lifestyle in a stress-free way. We knew that would require an investment of our time and resources into basic obedience training, but what we didn’t realize at the time was how profound an impact that training would have on us as a family. We first left Charlie with Angelika and Tino when she was just 10 weeks old for a 2-week board and train in their home. We had interviewed other dog trainers prior but it wasn’t until we met Angelika that we really felt at peace with leaving our new puppy. The foundation of on-leash training Charlie received during that stay was an eye-opening experience into what was possible for her. In the weekly follow-up classes that we attended (which we still attend 2.5 years later!) it became apparent to us just how much of dog training is human training. Angelika and Tino worked patiently with us as we learned to effectively communicate with Charlie as leaders of her pack. We also realized how much Charlie thrives in a training environment. Learning and practicing new commands has provided a purposeful, positive outlet for her energy and has helped to foster her happy, calm, and loving temperament. Much to Charlie’s delight, we continue to send her back for board and trains (i.e. “camp”) whenever we go out of town for more than a couple of days. She’s progressed so much in her off-leash training that she is able to stay off-leash while at the park, hiking, and on other outdoor adventures. We have complete and total trust that we’re in control of her at all times, allowing us to enjoy these experiences with absolutely zero stress. We’re not exaggerating when we say that on a daily basis, we receive compliments from complete strangers that we meet in parks, on trails, or in other public places who are blown away by how well behaved Charlie is. Aside from obedience training, Angelika and Tino have been instrumental in training Charlie to perform a number of medically-related service tasks, enabling me to have her registered as my service animal and join me wherever I go. She’s also an appreciated visitor at Craig’s mom’s memory care home, where, thanks to our work with Quality K9, she is able to interact with all of the residents in a calm and gentle manner, bringing joy into their lives with her regular visits. Our time with Charlie has been amazing and Angelika and Tino have played an integral role in that. In working with them, we’ve realized that you can’t put a price on the quality of life that comes from having a well-trained companion. As long as we have dogs, they’ll have Angelika and Tino in their lives!
We were at the end of our rope with our bulldog Winston who was aggressive. We had tried group training at our local pet food store (unsuccessful) and later another private trainer (also unsuccessful). From a recommendation by a coworker, we called Dan who offered a variety of training options. We elected for his "in kennel" training which took a little over two weeks. In short, Winston is a now enjoys people and the company of other dogs! After Winston came home, Dan came for two additional visits to instruct us on how to continue Winston's training and "maintenance". We also attended several evening group sessions which were included. We plan to attend his drill group this fall to maintain Winston's good manners and will definitely board him with Dan when we go out of town. I recommend Dan's program wholeheartedly. You will not be dissapointed! Winston loves him and gives him a great big paws up!!! J. Williamson
All 4 Paws Training is a wonderful group to train with. The classes are fun and informative. It was a relief when I found them as I was training my first service dog and they helped me through every step.
we are an in door airconditioned facility. We do the largest selection of dog sport classes of anyone in the valley.
