Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I love to teach. I have dedicated my life to sharing that passion with others. I currently have an amazing studio of students in Scottsdale but am always looking for ways to incorporate new students. My studio also participates in 5-6 recitals per year (optional but they are a ton of fun!!). Performances are either at Steinway of Phoenix or the Kerr Cultural Center in Scottsdale. My studio also offers participation in the Arizona Study Program. My students consistently receive Superior ratings and an average of 98% on their theory tests! Watching a student fall in love with music. I teach all genres from pop and jazz to classical. It's amazing what a child had the ability to learn from as early as four years old. I love watching them learn to read music and become independent musicians. I also have a wonderful time teaching adults. Many think they are unable to become proficient in an instrument as an adult but it could not be further from the truth!

I have taken piano lessons with Lesli for eight years and cannot begin to share in this short space what an amazing teacher Lesli is. Whether you are a beginner or expert student, Lesli provides excellent instruction and motivation. Her passion for her students and music is expressed in all aspects of her studio and I recommend her wholeheartedly.

Lesli is the consummate teacher: great piano pedagogy, passion for teaching music and genuine dedication to her students. I truly believe Ms Hanson is one of the best teachers I have encountered in my 44 years of being a professional musician!

We are so fortunate to have found you. Your recitals are incredible to say the least. We can't say enough about it. It also speaks volumes about your teachings, your patience and your love for music. Our daughter is very fortunate to have you as her teacher. I have no words to tell you the gratitude we feel of your teaching, talent and your faith in your students.

I took private lessons from Ms Hanson for 5 years! I'm now in a piano class here at BYU-Idaho and I have to thank you for being such an amazing teacher. I breezed through it so easily. Getting in practice time was super hard, but I made it through because of how hard you pushed me as a student. I really appreciate everything you have taught me! I really miss taking lessons from you!

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I started piano lessons at the age of 5. When I graduated high school my teacher gave me the opportunity to teach in her business. From that point on there was no turning back - spark had begun. I continued taking every pedagogy class I could in college and completed my Masters degree at NAU. 13 years ago I stopped accompanying to dedicate my career to my teaching passion.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Quality over anything else. Private lesson prices have a great range and you do get what you pay for. Make sure you're getting the best investment over time.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

My studio is very different from other studios. I offer very high quality instruction with an equal amount of fun and enjoyment during lessons. My goal is to foster those who have performing goals but more so I want a student to find their passion for music and to be proud of their accomplishments. I also want them to become independent readers so that they have the ability to pick up new music and play it with ease.
