- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
15 minute Free Consultation by phone: a time for you to ask questions about lessons and talk about your music goals and aims. What styles of music do you most want to learn? What is your music background, if any? Are you interested in understanding the theory behind music? Do you want to play by ear or stick with the classics and written music? We will discuss your basic aims and come up with a Plan for your first lesson.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Awarded scholarships to San Francisco Conservatory of Music and ASU. Majored in Music and Piano Performance at ASU. Studied composition at U of Oregon and at U of A. Studied jazz and classical piano at U of A. Studied several other instruments. I was guest piano soloist with a youth orchestra at age 10, and in my teens. Runner-up in the Phoenix Young Musicians Concerto Contest. 10 years of 300+ solo classical performances and accompanying. Toured the country with bands in jazz, rock, pop, blues, country. 10 years as composer of soundtracks, solo recording artist and improvisational music. My sound tracks have premiered in film festivals around the world, on the Disney Channel, PBS television, NPR radio. I was a core band leader with the Tucson Jazz Society. Wrote a Top 40 regional radio hit. My Solo Piano Album of original songs made radio hotlists. My music is now available on Apple Music, YouTube, Pandora Radio, Amazon and other online streaming. I worked with the Up With People Show for 2 years as piano coach and rehearsal band leader.
