I was planning a small birthday party for my husband's "Flag Day" birthday. Maybe 15 people and since I have not done much cooking for 12 years I was going to get the food from Costco. After lying awake a whole night wondering what food I should get, the bright idea came to me to have it catered. I went online and picked Tracy just because of her reviews. Spoke with her on the telephone and thought she would do just fine. AND she did. The food was delicious, she just took over the party like she was the perfect hostess and everyone enjoyed her and the party.

I reached out to Angela for cooking lessons for a paleo(ish) diet. I just started to cook for the first time so I'm a total beginner in the kitchen. I found her to be incredibly knowledgeable, talented and encouraging . The steak recipe she taught is now my fiancé's favorite food! Her cooking lesson was exactly what I needed to ramp up my cooking skills and stick to a new diet. It was a great experience!

My 12 year old daughter, who loves to bake, received "baking lessons with Karen" as a gift from her uncle. Karen spent four hours with my daughter in our kitchen baking! We spoke to Karen ahead of time and discussed what my daughter liked, what she wanted to learn, and any baking requests she had. Karen came prepared, organized and ready to bake. My daughter really enjoyed the day, learned a lot and made really amazing desserts that we all enjoyed! It is obvious how experienced and knowledgeable Karen is in the kitchen. I would highly recommend working with Karen for all your baking and cooking needs!

Marjorie shops for and uses the freshest veggies, fruits and meats. She is an experienced chef having operated her own restaurant and having cooked for so many. She is cost-conscious but strives for the best quality. Marjorie tailors meals to our liking and presents us with dishes we have yet to try. Her desserts are wonderful! If there is room for improvement it is in her over or under estimating ingredient measurements on occasion. That is probably because I measure exactly with cups and teaspoons. But hey, she is the pro and that's why I enjoy having her prepare our meals! What a wonderful service she provides to a caregiver.

Hired as a Chef/ Cook. Everything was delicious and served well. Would have wanted more one on one interaction with him, but I understand things can get busy in the kitchen. Overall a good experience and would recommend.

    About

I am a native of Tucson and raised in a Hispanic cultured family where I was taught to cook comfort Mexican food. All of my relatives cater parties, gatherings and cook a lot of food. My grandmothers, mothers and aunts' recipes have been passed down. I recently attended a culinary institute but did not complete my studies, but my heart is in food forever, so I want to share my experience and knowledge of cooking with the world. I can come to you and teach what I know, from simple to difficult dishes, to impress loved ones or for your dates. Whatever you want to cook, I can show you how to do it.

Are you short on time? "I shop, I chop, and prepare the most delicious dinners!" I could prepare 3 entrees with a side dish servings of 4, and that is equivalent to 12 meals! I use my own cookware and bring the spices, you choose the menu! You pay for the food and I do the rest for a flat fee of $140! You will have an aroma of homemade foods in your home, and I will leave your kitchen spotless too! I serve the Northwest only. I've been a longtime resident of Northwest Tucson. How much do private cooking lessons cost?

You can take private cooking classes to have fun, to learn a new skill, to improve your health, to bond with your partner, to enjoy a playful first date or to have a unique birthday party experience. Nationally the average cost of private cooking lessons ranges between $100 and $150. Prices can vary, depending on where you live, the type of cooking class you’re taking, the ingredients the chef provides, and the reputation of the chef. Cooking classes with Anthony Bourdain will clearly cost more than classes with a local restaurant owner. The number of people in the class will also affect the cost, with group lessons often priced per person to account for the cost of ingredients. For example, for group lessons, a brunch workshop may cost an average of $70 per person, a steak dinner with sides could cost an average of $80-$85 per person, and a sushi lesson could cost an average of $100 per person. Ingredients play a major role in cost, as the chef will pre-purchase the food you will be working with. Weekday classes will usually cost less than weekend classes.
