Jose was the first to respond to my request for someone to perform concrete installation in the courtyard of our home (which was previously filled with dirt and plants) and he offered to come out the same day to provide an estimate. Not only did he show up on time, but he provided an affordable estimate and said he could start the following day (a huge plus!). My stepdad who's been in the commercial construction industry for 40+ years was there for the meeting as well and was thoroughly impressed with Jose's knowledge when discussing the his strategy for job. The day of the project, Jose and his crew (who were also outstanding) showed up on time and did an AMAZING job. I couldn't be happier with the final results. The crew was professional and cleaned and hauled everything away when they were done. If you're looking for construction services, I would highly recommend Jose's services!

We wanted to mount a TV in our kitchen and we wanted to hide the cords. Steven had to get to it by cutting in through our laundry room. He had to move a very heavy washing machine, get in through the wall, install a new electrical outlet and patch it all up. It looks great and his pricing was reasonable. He also installed a ceiling light which required cutting into the ceiling and patching it all up. Looks great.

First off, the finished product was excellent. The crew does very good work, very thorough and no shortcuts. I can be very picky and i really didnt have much to say. The few things i did point out, they were more than willing to fix. The only negative that i can state was that the job took longer than expected. I was told it would be done in 3 days, 4 days max, but it ended up taking 4.5 days, so additional time that i had to be closed, losing income. We are open 24 hours, so it makes a difference, BUT i knew how bad our floors were, so it was understandable. I was working with Jon, but his crew did the work, and day 1 of the project was the first time his crew was seeing the floors, which was surprising, as i would think they would need to know what they had to deal with, but maybe that was already communicated to them. All in all, the project went smoothly and i am very satisfied with the quality of work. It was great value also. I talked to and got estimates from about 10 other contractors and Jon's pricing was up there with the best value and lowest pricing. I would recommend Jon and his crew for any floor installation you need. He also was able to get me quotes and introduce me to other contractors who could help me with other projects i have planned, so that was also helpful. I can see that i will be doing new flooring jobs in the future with my plans, so now i know exactly who to call first. All my referrals will also go to him.

I had 1200 square feet of laminate flooring with about three years of floor wax build up, which had millions of scratches from my large dog. They were the lowest out of the three quotes I received, and my flooring came out better than I expected. I plan to use this company in the future for routine maintenance because they made my flooring look better than new with a buffer.

I have an old hardwood floor under an old carpet. And there is some termite damage. Joel and his team helped me to remove the carpet, repair termite damage, and sand and refinish the hardwood floor. They also installed new base boards. Joel responded to my quest promptly, did a free measurement and estimate, explained and wrote down everything 100% clear, and finished the job on schedule. They did an excellent job at a very competitive price.

Robert performed an absolutely excellent job on a tricky project for paint removal on a concrete slab in the back yard of our house. He was super easy to work with, provided a very competitive quote, performed the work extremely well and on time, and his job site cleanup was fantastic. He's clearly very detail orientated and would not hesitate to recommend him, or utilize his services again. We're very happy with the work he performed and how he did it.

All of the workers at Lopez Hardwood Floor are very experienced in their skills from start to finish and I am extremely satisfied with the new white oak hardwood flooring that was stained to match the existing hard wood floors. I switched out 3 BR's and closets from carpeting to hardwood. Eduardo, the owner of the company was very pleasant and very fair with his pricing. The price included carpet removal, new flooring materials and labor and was very fair. They go out of their way to assist with moving of the heavy furniture and beds to locations in the house for the length of the project. They gave me choices in stains and we found just the right one. The hardwood floor went in smoothly and carefully and after two rounds of sanding they stained and applied 3 coats of varnish on each of the following days after buffing. Eduardo's team applied base shoe to the existing baseboards in all of the rooms and closets. During the work, they masked my home and closets with protective plastic and tape. Today, they helped me to move back my furniture and the project was completed. I would highly recommend that you consider Lopez Hardwood Floor for your upcoming hardwood floor projects. American Castles Mike To the RESCUE!!! The water heater at my rental property burst on a Friday afternoon causing some major damage to the house. The renters were furious because their items got damaged and the house wasn't inhabitable after that. On the inside, the bathroom wall and under stairway closet were all soaking wet and drywall/carpet/padding had to be removed immediately to prevent mole build up. On the garage side where the water heater located, the entire wall was destroyed. so I called my home insurance who provided me with their preferred plumber who quoted an additional $540 out of pocket on top of what the insurance was going to cover just so he can bring up the water heater installation to code! He told me that it will take him 1+ week to order the water heater (duh...get one from Home Depot take only 1hr...which is what Mike did) and that he can install a temporary water heater and will charge $137/wk! He also referred me to a water damage restoration company which I was not too happy with either. Since it was an emergency and I went with that company. They came in and ripped out all the wet drywall without caring for any molding; especially for garage doors and closet doors! It seemed like what ever the water heater didn't damage, they did. They also broke my water heater intake shut off valve. damage the water heater over flow copper pipe. All I can say is I will not use them again! Back to the plumber, something was smelling fishy about his quote and so I called and questioned this plumber. His response was "Well, I will need to flush out the gas line and calibrate your water pressure...upgrade to the new California safety quote...put in earthquake straps...install new vent line since the new water heater nowaday don't use the old vent line!". I was not convinces so I started to Google for good local contractor and AMERICAN CASTLES (Mike Tay is the owner) came up from Thumtack along with few others from other websites. I contacted them and they came in and provided me quotes. Mike was the last one I contacted. He arrived within 30min. He checked out the damages and explained to me what needs to get done sequentially to get everything back in proper operation for my tenants. Mike is very knowledgeable and very patient in explaining things. I told him what the plumber had said, he laughed and told me the whole thing was a rip off and a scam! Another crock of bull**** and advised me against it. He told me to call my insurance company to inquire about using other plumber. Sure enough I was offered the "cash out" option which I didn't even know was available. I took that option and went with Mike for the repair. Mike knows how important it is for my tenants to get the hot water running again once the water damage restoration company completed the clean up/dry out the area (took 1 week). As soon as that company removed their equipment, Mike had his crew come in the next day (Saturday) to repair the garage dry wall and finished the installation of the new water heater and brought it up to code on safety on Sunday! He even added the water pan and installed drain pipe for me. I didn't even know such a thing exists (talk about quality...he treats it like repairing his own home!). The best part is his charge for the whole job including new water heater, earthquake straps, valve, drain pan, vent and new connection is far way less than what that plumber was going to charge me. I loved the fact he took the time to show me how things should be done up to code and what works for my situation instead of just giving a price and walking away. He did an awesome job! Unfortunately my landlord insurance's deductible was so high, I asked Mike to give me a quote for fixing the damage in the garage and inside the house. Mike's quote was very competitive and the best part is he is always willing to work with me knowing my situation (thx Mike). My bathroom paint is 16 years old so it was a challenge to match the paint for the new wall. After only quoting me for painting a small wall inside the bathroom, Mike decided on his own to paint the entire bathroom without charging for it. Now that what I call TAKING PRIDE IN YOUR WORK AND STICKING TO YOUR WORD!!! My summary is, Mike successfully completed the entire job and installation in four days. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone and will definitely be using and referring him to everyone I know.

We got a reasonable quote and Guilmar and his crew have been very courteous, professional and friendly. We are renovating a home that hasn't been renovated since the early 70s. After doing much of the work ourselves we knew we needed professional help on the drywall. The guys spent a good amount of time mudding, taping, sanding and priming our walls. I really appreciated that they took their time. We have since then gotten another reasonable quote to cover our hideous popcorn ceilings. Once again the guys have worked hard and consistently. They have been understanding when our new, very energetic puppy jumps all over them. We are hiring them for a 3rd project as soon as the ceilings are done next week. They will be doing tile floors, kitchen demo and stairs. Thanks to. Guil, Manny and Juan. I definitely Andy highly recommend them.

Antonio and his team did an outstanding job. They really went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with their work. Very honest, punctual, polite, and most of all they are good at what they do. Concrete floors can be a challenge to work with, so it's important to find a team who is well versed in the trade. I would definitely hire them again if another job comes up in the future.

George was very professional and did a beautiful job with the installation of tile flooring on a rental property of my families. Not only did he do a great job but it was done in a very timely manner, as well as I think the price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend his services and hire him again in the future.

Jordan as a person was very nice. His inital follow up was prompt and he spoke very highly of his attention to detail. As a first time homeowner, I know little about construction and heavily rely on the expert knowledge of others to assist with our remodel. We hired Jordan after meeting three other contractors based solely on our interaction with him. When we originally had Jordan out to our house it was for a flooring quote only. Jordan explained he also preformed landscaping work on the side so we added that to our list. Jordan did an amazing job installing the floors! The entire dynamic of the house changed because of the floors. I was very disappointed in a few other areas which is the reason for 4 stars. We do not currently live in the house although we do have a few items in place for weekend visits. Towards the end of the job Jordan said that they were mostly finished so I had gone to check out the progress. The tile work in both bathrooms is crooked. The master bath is very noticeable. In addition, my bedding was covered in dust and they had smeared grout into the carpet in my bedroom. There was also sloppy grouting and caulking done in several areas of my home. To add insult to injury his crew decided it was ok to help themselves to my kids popcicles - this actually upset me just asuch as the tile floor. Giving credit where it is due: Jordan and Tim did have my carpets cleaned, my bedding dry cleaned and I was given the option to have them rip up the bathroom floor or receive a discount from my final bill. Jordan did offer to replace the missing popcicles as well although that never did happen. The landscape looks nice as well but we asked to keep the remaining turf and that also didn't happen. I asked jordan about it and he said what was salvageable was in our shed - it wasnt. Again, I was very happy with the floors but the other items make it hard to say if I would rehire for additional projects. Nice guy but I didn't feel like our home was cared for in the way he said it would be. If you do decide to hire Jordan my recommendations would be: 1. Get a detailed breakdown of the work 2. Notate about the use of your personal items (they completely filled up both our garbage cans) 3. Inspect. Inspect. Inspect. Check every corner.

I used this business to rebuild a portion of a concrete masonry wall that contained a sizable crack and was in Danger of falling. A parkway tree had created this situation over a number of years. Peter rebuilt the damaged portion of the 60 plus year old wall to match the rest of the wall, and replicated the brickwork on top of the wall, then painted the new concrete and some hairline cracks. The work was beautifully executed, and you cannot tell the difference between the old and new part of the wall. I would highly recommend this business.

Fast, efficient, clean and fair. I had 2 jobs done by Floorandwindows and both were fantastic. They did my home flooring replacing carpet with stunning wood and my warehouse were they refinished the concrete and even installed and anti-static floor for my tech room. I have also had them install blinds at both locations, there were no problems and the fit was perfect on the first install. I highly recommend them! Home Designers and Contractors did an excellent job for me with several projects: -- repairing and reinstalling bamboo wood floors, -- installing waterproofing elements on my guest house, -- refinishing 1928 original oak floors (despite some really awful glue that was used on top of them for parquet floors), -- installing a brand new kitchen (lighting, floors, cabinets, new appliances, custom quartzite counter, sink, electrical, etc). -- repairing patio tiles and creating a concrete swell for the water drainage Al and his team do quality work at reasonable prices. My home is much more beautiful and functional because of Home Designers and Contractors.

Luka and his team are incredible! I had him refinish the concrete floor at my new business location and it looks fantastic. Originally I just wanted someone to buff it out, fill patches and put a nice, clear sealent coat on it. Luka agreed but once he got into the space he saw that the job needed more than that to look it’s best. He ground the floor down, restained it, filled patches and then gave it a nice glossy coat. It’s a brand new floor! His bid was extremely fair especially given the fact that he did a lot of extra work to bring the space up to his high standards. Look no further if you are looking for an honest, professional flooring company who produces exceptional work.
