We arranged for a house call to resolve our printer problem via e-mail. Sean did actually discuss the printer problem with us by telephone prior to his planned house call. We were impressed with Sean's knowledge of our Hp printer and possible solution to the problem. In the end, we actually did not have Sean fix the problem because, lo and behold, we were able to do it ourselves. I was sorry that he did not have the work after we had contracted for his services, but he was very understanding and gracious about it. We will certainly hire Sean again for any tech problems we may have in the future. We are also very happy to now be aware of the services the "Thumbtack" offers.

The British Handy Man (AKA Gary) has been my go to person for tech stuff around our home for years. Essentially i am useless at setting just about anything electronic up but want to have all the gadgets at my home. So far Gary has installed, Cameras, TV's, my Ring doorbell, two fans, just about every outlet in the house and my WiFi Router and my kids computers. I can't recommend them enough. I have recommended them to all of my friends and even my work, who now use them to manage the telephone system and data wiring. All in all a great guy and a great company to deal with.

I had a very complicated network system that I wanted set up in my house. Allen Moshiri was recommended to me by the person I originally hired to do the job. This person had years of experience, and had done good work for me before, but this time he found the work I wanted done to be too complicated. He said that on rare occasions, when the work is so complex, he calls Allen. Because my system was to be installed in my home instead of a larger business office, he told me that he would call Allen, himself, let him know what he was up against, then step aside and turn the job over to him. I'm very glad he did, because Allen got the job done in spite of problem after problem he encountered in getting my network up and running. A couple of years after he finished the job, the telephone company unknowingly cut some of the network wiring he had installed. I was going to be moving in just a couple of months, so to have Allen redo the wiring would have been very expensive for the short period that it was still needed. At the same time, I needed the part of the network that was no longer working to work again, and as soon as possible, so Allen told me to give him a day or two to try to come up with a less expensive solution--and he did! He truly does amazing work. I'm no expert, but I don't think there is a network or diversity of other technological problems that he cannot solve. Since that time, I have hired him for all my technological needs. For example, I have an older laptop that came with a fan to cool the internal spinning hardware. I was tired of how slowly it ran compared to new laptops, but I really like the size of the screen, which isn’t made anymore, and the picture quality is still good enough to suit my needs. I told Allen about this, and he replaced the old internal hardware with the latest version. For about 25% of the cost, my laptop is now just as fast as a new one, and just as quiet, because there are no longer any spinning parts that require cooling by a fan. For another example, when I bought a new HD 4K TV, I asked Allen what kind of sound system would be best for the room the TV was in, and he installed a great sound system specifically suited to the size and shape of the room. He also set up the network in my new home, and like the first network he set up for me, it works beautifully. Neither last, nor least, Allen also recovered some important lost email for me that I was sure could not be recovered. Something else that I really appreciate about Allen is that he is always either immediately or almost immediately reachable whenever there was a problem or upgrade needed for the network or any of the other work he has done for me. While easy-going and affable, he is 100% professional and focuses like a laser beam on the task at hand. He is simply one of the smartest people I know. If a solution exists for a difficult problem, he will find it, and whether the job is simple or complex, his work will always be excellent.

I am so thankful that I used Thumbtack to find Kevin Hammond and his company Total PC! Our office just completed a last minute move to a new office location when our rent was raised and needless to say, it was extremely stressful to move a business after 13 years in less than a month. However, one of the major things that alleviated some of the stress of our office's recent move was Kevin and Total PC's immediate response to my post on Thumbtack. As our previous IT person relocated to Texas last year, I had been searching for awhile for reasonable and knowledgeable IT services that serviced our area. Now, I needed to find someone to set-up our server and network, set-up all of our office desktop workstations, copiers, printers and faxes in addition to troubleshooting any preexisting problems we had for this impending office relocation. Also, all of the aforementioned was to be accomplished in a weekend--as our office being a law firm, could not afford to have any unnecessary 'down time' for our client matters. As being one of the bids for our office's Thumbtack posting for IT services, I researched all of the companies proposing their services and Total PC stood out not only because of their positive reviews on Thumbtack and Yelp, but Kevin of Total PC's immediate response (via telephone) to all of the questions I had surrounding this daunting office relocation. Kevin made himself personally available to visit our new office space to survey the set-up and to come on the weekend (multiple days for several hours) to make sure our office was up and running by the following Monday of our Friday move! Please also let me impart that no request is too large or small to ask Kevin and he will give you an honest assessment of whatever the IT project presented as well as its viability. Kevin likes a challenge and he will work to figure out whatever issue/project you present him (he solved an on-going software problem that we have had with our billing software for over a year that even our software help desk could not even figure out). If Kevin and Total PC cannot solve your IT problem--then I believe that maybe it cannot be fixed BUT he will always present an alternative option to solve the problem as well ☺ One thing that really impressed me with Kevin and Total PC throughout our move was that they were extremely responsive (all requests or trouble ticket issues are responded to within 2 hours or 24 hours with an advisement that the issue will be addressed). Further, Kevin will explain technical issues in a way that if you are not the most 'tech-savvy' person--you can understand what is at issue whether it be your network, computer or software. Based on the positive experience with Total PC for our initial project to assist with moving our office, we have now hired Kevin and Total PC for our on-going IT needs in which they monitor/troubleshoot our server, network and desktop/laptop computers. Although our recent office relocation was not wanted or expected, besides getting a larger office space we love, we now have a comprehensive, professional and responsive IT service provider in Total PC that we had been wanting for over a year.
