OJ is 1 of the best personal trainers I've ever come into contact with. For starters, your initial meeting is a workout created to personalize your strengths and weaknesses for future sessions. Afterwards, he speaks with you regarding your target goals, time frame, ideal weight etc. Meanwhile, he's compiling a special profile just for you in his computer. He sends weekly updates on your progress like: body fat percentage and weight loss/gain. In addition, he also sends motivational text messages during the week. He really is the most professional personal trainer I've ever encountered. I'm just 3 weeks into my training sessions and I'm already seeing results. Thanks OJ!

When I first decided to start working out with a personal trainer, I looked online for personal trainers in Pasadena. I ultimately decided to go with Hugo based on all of the positive reviews I read of him on here. Since the reviews initially helped me make a decision on choosing Hugo as my personal trainer, I just had to leave my own review. Before committing to train with Hugo, he offered me an introductory deal so that I could experience working out with him. The first couple sessions he evaluated my strength, endurance, and overall physical ability. Once my fitness level and goals were established, Hugo set up a training program and nutritional plan for me. He begins every session by explaining and demonstrating the exercises in the circuit. He also clarifies and demonstrates the importance of proper form, which makes it really easy for me since I'm a visual learner. At any point during the exercise if I forget to use proper form, Hugo reminds me and encourages me throughout. He is very good at helping me understand which muscles each exercise is working out. I like how during every session, he is focused, patient, and motivates me to make sure I'm giving it my all. His professionalism and friendliness make it all that much more of a positive experience training with him. I've been training with Hugo for about three months now, and I can say that I'm truly happy with my results so far. My strength and endurance have greatly increased since our first session. I've noticed my body fat decrease and my muscle mass increase. I also feel much better when I'm exercising and eating healthy, it has greatly helped with my anxiety. I definitely plan on continuing to train with Hugo. I'm excited to see how my fitness level and physique continue to progress. I'm glad that I chose Hugo as my personal trainer, it is obvious that he loves what he does and cares about his clients. I definitely recommend Hugo for anyone looking for a personal trainer, you will not regret it!

I was randomly searching for personal trainer on Thumbtack few months ago and got a list of 5 trainers contacting me. Hugo was very genuine. He took his time explaining how he trains and he offered me a free introductory class to try. This was my first time working with a personal training so I honestly didn't know if I was going to like the training session. Hugo was very knowledgeable and patient. He didn't give me any pressure of committing to a package. I have been training with Hugo for about 2 months now. He is a truly excellent trainer. He is the perfect combination of tough(always challenge my strength) and warm (caring and with great sense of humor!). Every training section he always set a challenging yet achievable goal for me. Wanna be a superhero? Training with Paul Harvey is better than gamma radiation or radioactive spider bites. After a lifetime of reading comic books and benching 135 pounds, I put myself through as much self motivated training as I possibly could. There were improvements but also serious stalls in progress and impenetrable plateaus. I could not get my size past 175 lbs and had average strength. Then at 41 years of age I opted for personal training. I had two simple goals: size past 180 lbs and improved strength across the board. Paul laughed at the first goal, and said no problem. I had my doubts because I had great trouble with gains. I blew past 180 lbs, at 2 years I was steady at 195 lbs, and last summer was 205 lbs. As for strength (and there are a lot of stronger people out there) I exceeded my expectations with a 310 pound bench, 495 pound dead lift, and pulling the entire stack on half a dozen different pieces of exercise equipment. Being a client of Paul's is fun, hard work, and motivating. I catch myself 'prepping' for my workouts in advance to make sure they go well. Now at 44 I get to feel like a superhero.

I have trained with Paul Harvey for 5+ years. I have been working with various trainers for 15 years total, and had never found one who understood my goals and knew how to achieve them. When I started with Paul I was 178 lbs. At 6'4" tall, that was very skinny. My goal was to put on lean muscle. I've added about 30lbs of lean muscle and have a six pack. Paul advises me on how to achieve my goals both inside the gym and at home. He is a smart guy and can carry on a conversation about more than just working-out. He makes me laugh and we have lively debates about current events. Even when I take the skills I've learned from him to my own solo workouts, I still never sweat as much as I do when I work out with Paul. He is a great motivator.

I was introduced to Coach Hunter when my son was in the 8th grade. I was told that he was one of the best 1-on-1 coaches in the San Gabriel Valley. When we met Coach Hunter, my son had been a long time offensive lineman who had suddenly grew in height and lost a considerable amount of weight. As a result, my son was no going to be considered for the offensive line in high school. I asked Coach Hunter if he could convert my son into a wide receiver since he had decent hands and was 5' 11" in the 8th grade. To which he agreed to help Coach Hunter's rigorous workouts, his attention to detail and his customized training had an immediate impact on my son's performance. Within a short period of time, my son was not only competing as a wide receiver, he became a starting wide receiver at his high school. Due to the tremendous amount of success that we experienced so quickly, I promised Coach Eric that he would remain my son's personal trainer throughout high school. This year, my son achieved what only 2% of all high school football players achieve. My son received a full scholarship to play football for a Division 1 school as a wide receiver. For a kid who only has played wide receiver for four years, the odds of achieving such a feat is tremendous. We owe all of it to the work of Coach Hunter. Coach Hunter is a man dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of football. He has expert knowledge on both sides of the ball and has been a great mentor to my son, on and off of the field. Not to mention his rates are extremely reasonable and well worth it. I highly recommend Coach Hunter for any parent who is looking to have their child compete at the high school and college levels.

Hands down Jobi Morrison is the BEST personal trainer! I have been training with Jobi for 5 years. I'm the strongest I have ever been! My workouts are never boring. Mark is a great trainer!! He is different from other trainers. He can relate to his clients and makes you feel he's on the journey with you. Jake helped me with training advice and nutrition advice when he used to live in the UK, before he moved to LA. His information has really helped me, both in terms of improving health and fitness levels. He is incredibly motivating and inspiring - and he was so keen to help me as an individual and find out what would work best for me. Aaron Valizan has been my brother, Shawn’s personal trainer and “life saver” for a couple years. Shawn was a NCAA two time Men's rings gymnastics champion, and was a personal trainer himself up until he had his 2 strokes. Shawn is only 55 years old. A few years ago, had two strokes which left him incompacitated and unable to: • Read • Remember anything • Walk on his own • Eat his meals without help • Make it to the bathroom • Remember where is living He has stayed at two Skilled Nursing Homes: San Marino Manor for 6 months Glendora Grand which is where Shawn has resided for two years. I decided that Shawn needed someone who could relate to his background and understand his illness and physical handicaps. It was very difficult for Shawn because he did have a vague memory of being a PT and thought he still had clients that he worked out with. I started researching Personal Trainers in his area and found Aaron Valizan. He was highly recommended, and I also found out he had 10 years of nursing experience in the hospital setting, so I set up a time for him to come out to Glendora Grand convalescent home to meet Shawn. They hit it off right away. Shawn was actually smiling for the first time in years. I started booking their appointments. Shawn showed progress after only a few weeks. Then, Shawn caught MRSA, which is a highly contagious disease. He was transported to Inter Community Hospital where he was put into an isolated department with a private room. Aaron visited Shawn (wearing scrubs, gloves and booties to protect him from contracting the disease). He immediately lifted Shawn’s morale which in turn got him to start to eat. The hospital staff was really impressed with how well he worked with Shawn. Aaron started organizing some training sessions for Shawn for when he returned to Glendora Grand. Within one month, he had Shawn out of the wheel chair and walking on his own (Shawn’s disease was gone). Every time Aaron walked into Shawn’s room, his fact lit up and he was ready to “go work out”. When Shawn was feeling better, Aaron decided to sign him up at a local gym, giving Shawn a lot more to look forward to do. His symptoms improved on a regular basis. He remembered that he had appointments at a gym and could not wait to go. I could not be more happy! Today, Shawn has improved on a regular basis. Aaron has kept up their appointments at the gym and coming by to work with him at Glendora Grand. Shawn looks forward to every appointment. Honestly, I have been so impressed with Aaron and thrilled with the amount of time and patience he takes to work with Shawn. I think we are beginning to see “The Light at The End of the Tunnel” and hope that Shawn will improve on a regular basis. I cannot thank Aaron enough for all that he has done for my brother. I highly recommend Adrien as a personal trainer. He is consistent, motivates you, and I noticed results within the first month. I work with Adrien twice a week. Looking for an experienced, family friendly, and highly supportive personal trainer that specializes in MMA? Look no further. I randomly found EJ while walking through my community (and coincidentally on thumbtack..small world!) and I saw him training a mother and daughter. After exchanging info and then researching him more on thumbtack and the web, I decided to start training with him. The rest is history. I've since focused on boxing and Muay Thai mainly for self-defense and the cardio, and it's been working out really well. My power, speed, and stamina has improved significantly. I want to let each of you know what my experience has been with Dan. I turn 59 this year and I have worked out with a number of trainers over the years. I call them counters because that’s all they did for me. They counted and I did all the work…no results! Then I met Dan in January of this year. I did the genetics testing as he recommended. Once I received the results he explained to me what the results meant and what I needed to do to get in better shape. From nutrition and cardio to weight training, he has guided me along the way. We started training three days a week. He taught me how to box as a cardio routine. Never thought I would get it, but with his patience and guidance I am now boxing and loving it… GREAT CARDIO!!! Jim is an excellent trainer. He has great rapport, and he's very creative and inventive in coming up with ways to build muscle and core strength and stamina . So far we've met three times, and I feel 100% better already - fatigued but with a feeling of accomplishment. I actually look forward to each workout because I know Jim will help me meet my goals. Brian takes the time to know you, your body, your limits, and what you want to work on. After your assessment Brian schedules training based on you and your capabilities.
