Don did an absolutely amazing job moving our t.v. and rewiring an outlet for us. He knows his stuff better than most electricians that I know and we already have him coming back for another project. I highly recommend him for his professionalism, price and knowledge.
I hired Jose to wire and install 3 ceiling fans and 12 recessed lights throughout my condo. Jose provided me with a free estimate (something many of the other electricians were not willing to do) and from the other quotes that I gathered was very reasonably priced. He was able to start right away and always showed up on time and left my condo in better condition than he found it. The work was very professional and when one of the guys he brought with him did not perform the texturing up to his standards, he came back another day to make it right - without me even having to ask. I highly recommend Jose!
Installed 2 motion sensor security lights where none previously existed and did an excellent job. He did a thorough review of the work to be done in advance and gave us a quote at a much better price than I received from other electricians. We definitely plan to use Mathews' Electric again for other projects we want to accomplish. Thank you!!
Andy came out to give me a quote on installing a new EVSE (an electric car "charger") for me. I needed a new 40A, 240V circuit added to the house's main panel, as well as the EVSE itself mounted on the wall. His quote came in quite competitive to prices I received from non-licensed electricians and almost half the price of electricians I called or emailed from Angie's List. His assistant/main electrician Juan actually did all the work. Andy's sole contribution was running to Home Depot to pick up the correct (antiquated) circuit breaker for my house's 30-year-old GE panel and briefly discussing with Juan the scope of the work. Juan was excellent! A very friendly, knowledgeable guy. He was done with the entire project in about an hour and fifteen minutes, then we chatted for at least another half hour about various electrical things. I learned more about electrical stuff from watching him work and picking his brain on stuff like GFCI outlets and whole-house 100A->200A upgrades than I'd learned in years of home ownership. Though it was a very straight-forward project, I was really impressed by Juan's professionalism and how much he cared to do his best, instead of taking shortcuts. Would definitely recommend Andy and Juan for anyone on the fence about hiring them.
Greg, promptly identified the problem which turned out to be something different than what we had thought it was He than quickly resolved our loss of electrical service to our garage and irrigation system within minutes and used his remaining time on the visit to address several other issues that we needed to know about. F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C service - we now know who to call and to refer our friends to whenever they need a very qualified electrician. Thank you Thumbtack for the connection. Chuck Richardson
My problem was not one the electrician could really solve, but he diagnosed it, and I felt I got accurate information.
I cannot rave enough about the service I received today from Aaron Massella. He was prompt to communicate and willing to come to my home immediately. Here is what happened... The Problem: I had a random loss of power in one bedroom and the bathroom next it and the switch on my breaker box for that room was sluggish. I called up a couple different electricians, and I had my assistant get quotes from some other ones. They were all expensive and had sour attitudes. I then went to Thumbtack, and didn't love the first message I got (quote was expensive and vague), so I then read Aaron’s message. He sounded efficient so I called him up. On the phone, he was so friendly, so efficient, and talked me through the problem. He then gave him his rates clearly: one hour of troubleshooting rate, rate after troubleshooting, and emergency rate (service RIGHT NOW). I loved how clear, informative and friendly he was so I booked him for 8am this morning. He then showed up EXACTLY on time and got to work figuring it out, getting the facts, and educating me the whole time. I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciate his education of what he was doing step by step. The Diagnosis: a bit of plastic broke on a mini circuit breaker, and the wire had loss connection to the switch. I have an old Zinsco breaker box so if I wanted to replace the mini, I would have had to get a whole breaker box or hunt down this obsolete part. He said I most definitely don't need to get a new breaker box - we can still use the mini because, besides the bit of plastic, it's in fantastic shape, not a danger, and just needs to be reconnected. I LOVE that he said this because I hate wasting a perfectly fine breaker box and I don't want to spend money I don't need to. What a difference from the building handy man I had come in and say I should definitely get a new one just because mine is old. In the end, with education and all, he fixed it in less than 45 minutes. He even provided an extremely detailed receipt of the work he did. I ADORE DETAILS. Last amazing thing about him, he drives a truck filled with obsolete parts for people like me with very old circuit breakers. He didn't have the one I needed, but he still has a ton. Summary: If I could, I would give Massella Electric 10 stars. I am literally in the best mood and glowing from his fantastic service. Thank you Aaron for the thorough education, reasonable price, detailed receipt, and fantastic attitude!
I’m a handyman who knows nothing about electrical. When I came across some electrical issues I called a friend I trust to see if they knew an electrician. My friend referred Mr. Poole and I was very pleased with him all around. I thought that I may need to replace about a dozen exterior lights on a property and almost order them but Mr. Poole advised me they could be repaired. In stead of my client having to spend over 2 grand on new lights they were able to all be repaired for about $75! Overall he’s a solid guy.
We hired Carlos to do the final touches and electrical wiring in our pool/concrete deck remodel which included wiring for a pool light with GFCI and other poolside receptacles, pump and heater. Instead of giving us the rigamarole about how our midcentury ranch house needed to be electrically updated (we've found that electricians love bring old things up to current code), he gave us what we wanted with our current panel. Carlos was honest and sincere and produced a VERY fair price. We are very happy with his work.
Working with Justin was fantastic and I’ll certainly be reaching out to him again. I had an issue at a vacation rental property I own on a Saturday morning, once I had brought Justin up to speed, he was there Sunday morning and had the problem fixed. I really appreciated his responsiveness on Thumbtack and was grateful he could get my electrical issue fixed so quickly. When it comes to finding an electrician in the pay, I’ve called every number on Yelp – only to get few if any return phone calls 48 to 72 hours later. Thumbtack made my experience incredibly easy and Justin was on top of it!
I hired Hugh to paint my Living & Dining rooms. I discovered that he is an artist with a designer's eye! He helped me select a classic color and the rooms look beautiful! Being experienced in the business, he helped me organize my projects and recommended an outstanding Electrician & Carpenter team who installed recessed lighting, hardwood floors, crown moulding and baseboards. In addition, he has painted my kitchen & bathroom, transforming their appearance! I am so pleased with his work! He pays attention to detail and insures that jobs are done right the first time! He is trustworthy and demonstrated leadership qualities when the teams were coordinating their work. Hugh is also a Handyman and I have a few more projects I'd like completed around the house. Of course he'll be the one I hire! His prices are very fair for the quality of work.
Jon came out and found the problem quickly he gave me an estimate,he was so trustworthy and professional that I let him do the job right then and there.. I might have been able to get it done cheaper but because Jon was so professional I called and cancelled the other 2 electricians I had coming out today for estimates..... Thank you Jon!!!!!
Excellent electrician. Delivered exactly what he said and on time. Was very accommodating to changes and we are very pleased with the results. Installed several can lights and ceiling fans. Would definitely hire again.
Dennis is the best electrician in town!!
Had Clay wire in a master breaker and a sub panel. Was very knowledgeable and up front. Gave me several options and ideas, and then the associated price. Did not try to sell me on an option, let me decide what was best for my application. Was very patient and allowed me to ask questions. Highly recommended and if i need an electrician, ill call him again.
Incredible service very professional did the work quickly and professional He is a job ranked electrician in my book I have used him multiple times and extremely happy
James is an exceptional, trust worthy, and honest electrician. That has a well verse aptitude for any electrical job anyone has plan to accomplished. Either for commercial or residential work. A must hire if you want the job done correctly the first time !
Angel is a top notch electrician. He’s knowledgeable, friendly, and completes jobs professionally and quickly. He even came to help out my business on Thanksgiving Day! You can’t go wrong with Harness Power and Lighting.
I do it right the first time no warranty work required .I make sure to communicate with the customer so that there is no misunderstanding about what they want so i can then find the most cost effective way to accomplish the job in the minimal amount of time.

I've been an electrician for 16 years now and was trained by the IBEW in the state of Alaska. A job with the Navy brought me back to San Diego, which ended due to budget cuts. With the experience I've had throughout my career, I tend to have a step up on many others who may want to do work for you. I usually can come up with satisfactory solutions to problems that may be encountered by what your job consists of, such as making things look as though I was never there. Also, I can assure you that when you go to sleep at night, there will be no danger of mishap due to faulty installation of electrical work.
