I have used Scott Gressitt of San Diego Furniture Repair on several occasions and will continue to do so. His work product is superb. In this day and age finding a Craftsman that is honest, trustworthy, prompt, consistently providing superior workmanship st good value is s rarity. I will continue to use and recommend him to family, friends and other interior designers

Mr. Villalobos did an outstanding job refinishing my large oak dining room table to match the walnut furniture in the room. Before starting, he answered all of my questions about stains and sealers (his knowledge is encyclopedic,) and his bid was very reasonable. Because the table was oak, it required stripping before sanding and staining, and the result was a smooth, beautiful, and elegant table, which matched perfectly. It far exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this company.

I hired Hyde Handcraft Remodel to assemble IKEA furniture. This included two glass cabinets, bookcase and sofa table. They were on time, efficient and great quality of work. Extremely cost competitive. Very professional and friendly team. I will hire them in the future for remodel work.

Like many who favor the furnishings of wood antiques to decorate a home’s interior, I too have a great affinity for them. Throughout my youth, my mother would pack lunches, and take us though the antique jungles in search of a nice pair of legs. As time passed, I moved to California and took my antiques with me. During this time, they suffered much with chips, dents, and breaks taking their toll along the way. I searched far and wide for the right person to restore them to their past glory but found them to be either inexperienced or just too expensive. One day, a Lakeside local mentioned to go see a craftsman named John saying “you won’t be disappointed in work or price.” So, understanding that my old wooden friends were in great need of repair, I went to see the wizard (John), the wonderful Wizard of Wood. After calling him he stopped by to see my Duncan Phyfe dinner table, buffet, and chairs. John studied every piece, taking pictures and notes. A day or two later he gave me a quote and I was very happy with the price. A few weeks later, he dropped off my pieces and I was taken back by their restored beauty. Since then, he’s brought life back to 8 of my antiques and have plans for him to do our kitchen cabinets next. All I can say about John is that he is a true master-craftsman of his trade and is a man that loves to produce quality work. His honest personality and sincerity of heart are reflected in his prices. He truly is the real deal and you won’t be disappointed. -Yessi

I hired Kent to refinish my kitchen cabinets that were originally built in 1969 and were in overall good structural condition but completely lacked aesthetics on the outside. Since the cabinets were so old, they of course did not have hidden or soft close hinges which I was really hoping to be able to achieve with the kitchen remodel. I had other contractors come in and tell me that I would have to live with the outdated cheap hinges as they would not be able to configure new doors and drawers with hidden hinges and that's where the amazing Kent Merrill comes in. Not only did Kent do an amazing job at refinishing the exterior of the cabinet boxes, the new doors and drawers faces, but he was able to install new soft close glides for the drawers and wait for it........hidden soft close hinges. A miracle in its self, but not for Kent, he is truly a master of kitchen cabinet makeovers. I cannot speak highly enough of his skill set and professionalism. If I ever have another kitchen where the cabinets need to be redone, I will not think twice about going with anyone but Kent.

Ty quickly responded to my inquiry, made an appointment to come to my home to give me an estimate of the requested job, and was punctual both for that appointment and when she came back to do the work. Her work was professional and very reasonably priced. But what particularly impressed me about her was that she did not try to do related work on my leather furniture but instead happily referred that work out to someone else who specialized in that additional work (relating to the springs). I would have no hesitation in having Ty do additional work for me or referring her to my friends.

We put out several solicitations for bids on building cabinets for our outdoor kitchen project. Edgar's bid was the lowest by far, and the quality of work is very good. We enjoy working with Edgar. He is friendly, reliable and bills at a very fair and competitive rate. We are happy to have "found" Edgar through Thumbtack, and are using him for more carpentry projects. Lynn Ruenger

Bill is an extremely professional individual, and very customer-centered. We discussed the job process up front, options to tackle the job and I deferred to him and his judgement on how best to meet my primary objective - I wanted a professional looking paint job for my stair case (hand rail and balusters). His prices were very reasonable, and I am very pleased with the quality of the final product. I do plan to use his services for add'l painting tasks I have for my house, and would recommend his services to my friends.
