Introduction: I specialize in voice lessons (age 10 and up) and piano lesson (age 5 and up). I teach adults and kids and know how to keep things fun and engaging. I am able to address and allow for special needs, and I also know how to motivate advanced students with more challenging work. Like many teachers I'm sure, I love those "a-ha" moments, when a student really has a break-through. I also love to discover the wonderful, individual gifts that each student has, and how I can help the student make the most of those gifts.

As a former teacher, I can say that Jenny is the best of everything a good teacher should be. She's inspiring, patient, knowledgeable, and she makes even the tedious part of learning fun. As a vocal instructor she knows and applies her craft, learning different techniques to make herself a better musical instructor. You can be confident that when she tells you how to do something, you'll get results, just like I have. It's wonderful to be able to hear/feel the difference in your singing. You may never be or even aspire to be a professional singer, but you will have the confidence to know that you have the tools to do so. You don't want to let Jenny's sweet, kind demeanor fool you. She's serious about music and will make you a better musician. I am an adult who studied classical and musical theater for about a year with the focus on auditioning for musical groups.

I took voice lessons from Jenny for a year. In that year I learned about breath control, spacing of the mouth, and articulation. She is very personable and a great teacher. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great piano and vocalist teacher.

It is with great honor to recommend Jenny Guemmer. She is an incredibly accomplished musician with a beautiful voice who also has the blessings to teach with such grace. My 12 year old daughter takes piano lessons from Jenny and has blossomed under her tutelage. My daughter enjoys her piano studies but also enjoys just sitting and playing for fun. That is another wonderful aspect of Jenny's teaching, she makes making music fun for my daughter.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$30 per 30-minute lesson, $60 per hour. Sibling discounts are given, as well as a free trial lesson!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to meet a new student with a free, no-pressure trial lesson. We will get to know each other, and I will get a chance to find out the student's current level. I like to make this meeting fun and light-hearted, and I also like to give the student a chance to ask questions and get a sense of goals.
