Introduction: Thanks for reading this! My professional bio reads as follows: John is an active session musician, performing and recording rock, pop, jazz, blues, R&B, reggae, country, folk, and hip hop. John teaches privately from his home studio, in addition to other locations in the Bay Area. His students range from ages 5 to 55 and he gives individualized instruction according to their needs, interests, and proficiency. John began studying music at age 9. In his teens, he played with a variety of working bands, released records internationally, and performed coast to coast. At age 19, John relocated to Boston to study performance at the Berklee College of Music, where he received instruction from world-renowned drummers such as Mike Mangini, Kenwood Dennard, and Dave DiCenso. After Berklee, John returned to the Bay Area to perform and teach full-time. When he is away from the bandstand, John enjoys cooking, watching movies, and traveling. Here are a few logistics: - I can do lessons anywhere in the Bay Area. - Lessons can be 30 minutes or 60 minutes. - For lessons outside the Diablo Valley region (Martinez, Concord, Pleasant Hill, Danville, Walnut Creek, etc), the minimum lesson time is 60 minutes. Thanks for reading! Have a great day.
