Kara, Thank you for your 5 star review!! Paul Grether
I hired Mr. Grether to teach my 8 year old to play acoustic guitar. I liked the fact that he took the time to talk to my son in an effort to getting to know his learning style which will come in handy. My son was comfortable and had only nice things to say about his experience during this first lesson.Sep 13, 2018VerifiedPGrether Private Music Lessons's reply
Nohelia, Thank you for your 5 Star Review! It has been a pleasure teaching your son. I look forward to now teaching your daughter as well! Paul Grether
I have received several lessons from Paul at my location. I have not played music for many years and bringing music back into my life. He is a passionate teacher, professional, punctual, flexible, and responsible. The price of the lesson is reasonable. He cares about me being his student and spends time to find the right pick for my playing. He also met me at Sam Ash to help me purchase a new guitar and that was very helpful, now I enjoy it even more so. Overall, I reccomend Paul as a guitar teacher.Apr 17, 2018VerifiedPGrether Private Music Lessons's reply
Patricia, Thank you for your 5 star review!! Paul
I've started taking lap steel guitar lessons with Paul a few weeks ago. Initially I was very intimidated by the lap steel, however through Paul's knowledgable and patient instruction learning the instrument no longer seems like an impossibility. Paul clearly explains concepts and never loses his patience (even when I'm about to do so). Lastly, his pleasant and positive personality make challenging material enjoyable for someone who, musically speaking, should probably be wearing a helmet outdoors.Jan 28, 2017VerifiedPGrether Private Music Lessons's reply
April, Thank you for the 5 star review! Taking on any new endeavor certainly can bring a feeling of intimidation. I am glad to see that you are progressing in the direction that you are. Learning in an online format is challenging and that has not been an issue for you. It has certainly been a pleasure to have you as one of my students! Paul Grether
I recently started guitar lessons with Paul. He is knowledgeable and talented and makes it easy to learn by starting with the basics. He took time to find out what I am hoping to gain through lessons and uses this as a basis for his teaching. I highly recommend him!Jan 1, 2017VerifiedPGrether Private Music Lessons's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Price Rates vary by duration of your location (small travel fee for mobile lessons only). If we are working together by internet, the pricing is different from a mobile lesson. A lesson time and day would be scheduled and will remain the same from lesson to lesson. If scheduled mobile lessons are not cancelled in advance before I arrive at the lesson, there is a $20.00 charge for that missed lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? An intake appointment is arranged to see how to best meet the needs of the individual. It is there where a plan is discussed with the individual to make certain they are receiving what they need. Then instruction is carried out on a regular scheduled basis.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been playing the piano for well over 50 years and the guitar for nearly 40 years!
