I'm not the greatest in writing reviews. All I can say, is that Stephen is great. He applies the correct pressures. I'm not in pain afterwards like othe massages I received in the past. Yet the "knots" and "kinks" are improved. My massages are excellent. I just want to take a nap afterwards! Stephen is the complete package I was looking for - wholistic, Reiki, yoga etc.
Melissa is a great yoga instructor; nurturing for beginners and also challenging for experienced yoga practicers. And she brings fun, energy, and caring to the class. I took her class weekly for a couple years and learned a lot from her.

Lisa is a wonderful yoga instructor. She's knowledgeable and cares about her clients' success and well being.
First time getting a full foot reflexology massage and loved the experience overall. Wendy was amazing at what she does and would totally recommend her.
I selected Elena for some private yoga sessions as I had a friend who had taken classes from her and highly recommended her. I've been studying yoga for many years off and on, and am a retired dancer so I am both knowledgeable and quite picky about instructors. Elena was wonderful. I recently had surgery and had some restrictions so I decided to pursue some private sessions. Elena is very highly trained in modifying flows and postures to accommodate physical limitations. As well as assisting in the strengthening and rehabilitating of the injured or weaker muscles/joints. The sessions left me feeling more relaxed, yet stronger and with clear skills to work on independently. She seemed also very intuitive and responsive to how I was feeling each session and would adapt her energy and routine accordingly. The privates were absolutely worth the dollars and time. You will find Elena very warm, responsive, and reliable. Her instructions are very clear and have a soothing tone and energy. She's so kind and positive. Shows maturity, confidence and definitely motivated me and deepened my love and understanding of yoga. I will continue to schedule private lessons with Elena periodically. No group class can adapt to your needs, and give you such personal attention that helps you maximize the benefit and alignment of every pose. Contact Elena!
I have been exercising at The Works since it began as a coop about 13 years ago (and before that in its previous incarnations). The morning classes are great - by which I mean challenging, never boring, fun and always changing. We have had consistently excellent aerobics, pilates, and yoga teachers and Sarah, our manager, keeps the studio running without a hitch. The atmosphere is upbeat, encouraging and friendly. It is a beautiful, airy, clean, well-lighted place to workout and dance. I can't recommend it enough - both to potential exercisers, dancers and to renters. Come and try it out!
Tamara was a sheer delight to work with, as I brought her to my yoga studio to teach a special Acro Yoga Workshop. Her skill level, as an instructor is impressive & captivating. This along with her ability to teach to the diverse group that showed up, she truly creating a “container,” for the room. Can’t wait to have her & her assistant, Meaghan back again!
I hired Kristin as a private yoga instructor and she is phenomenal, she had a passion for her work that can only be found in those rare moments in your life. She listens to the type of training you are looking for and works with you accordingly. Her cues for getting you into a pose are easily understandable, and she does it all with patience and a smile. Any other yoga teacher I have will have a lot to live up yoo
As my Life Coach Sarah guided me toward clarity regarding the biggest question of my life what is my true purpose here? Sarah Reed is an elegant, whip-smart, laser-focused and intuitive belief-change miracle worker. She has helped me shift from habitual ways of thinking and believing that were not serving me, to new ways of being that reflect my higher self and purpose. Sarah gently fed my soul with insight into my beliefs and values, my capabilities, my identity and my true mission on this planet. I am forever grateful to Sarah for sharing HER true purpose and power to guide me toward mine.
Staci began her flirtation with yoga as an athlete 12 years ago, but it took a few years to develop a more serious relationship with her practice. After moving to Davis 3 years ago to work and study abroad, she discovered Akasha Yoga Studio and completed her RYT 200. Because of her background in international and outdoor education, she considers herself a lifelong student and is constantly pursuing training and discovering ways to bring a new perspective to her classes. Staci loves the mental and physical freedom that the practice brings practitioners, on and off of the mat. Her vinyasa flow yoga classes include a creative flow of asanas set to inspiring music; each class is a unique journey and invigorating exploration of the body. She also leads workshops and does yoga photography.
My name is Nichole, and I have a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science. I am also a registered yoga teacher. I was a competitive swimmer for 14 years and swam at the collegiate level for 4 years.
I have been practicing yoga since I was a 8 years old. I have now more than 15 years of experience practicing yoga and teaching it. I have reaped the benefits of this amazing art and now want to share the joy with others. I have seen yoga helping and reaching out to people belonging to all age brackets, affecting their health, mind and body. It helps cure asthma, PCOS, control BP, etc. I am able to control my BP and symptoms of PCOS by practicing yoga. I want to reach out to everyone out there who are facing health troubles due to overweight or people who want to get in shape after pregnancy or people who want to lose the overall fat, yoga is the solution. It helps one lose the water content from the body and build muscle. An inch lost on the body is visible just within 1 month of practice. All one needs is the right asana, proper instruction and regular practice. I have confidence and experience to make it happen for my clients.
